This place is so quiet for a Saturday. Is it because so many people have their lineups ruined? Or Because of NFL being back? (I guess it’s both.)

I agree it’s both. With a 5/6 in the Happy Meal I was pissed off until I realized not a single player in our little contest went 6/6. Plus the NFL with all of it’s gambling options just always casts a huge shadow over everything else. I guarantee you people are already losing interest in the NHL and NBA even though they’re both deep into the playoffs. I just know that Golf is great, Golf is bread, by their play we are starved or fed.

LMAO, this week might not be a complete loss.
Only bet $90 on golf Plus I am entering all the $1 showdowns. I had to meet a $20 mission, so I chose a 4 person $29 for a $100 PGA ticket. My 2/6 (others 1 3/6 2 2/6) Streelman and Higgs have got me in 1st and looking like they are pulling away.
wouldnt of thought it was possible…but i guess i got the right 3 others.

See the cut mark at US open last time at Wingedfoot years ago was + 10 😳

In that case, maybe Jordan Spieth has a chance.

Steele killing me in showdown.. cashing but could be doing much better, guy has 85% GIR today but just 1 birdie, a 40 foot putt lol.

I alternated between SWK and Steele as ‘spend-ups’ in SD. Should not have spent up on anyone.

So Woo’s 18th hole was straight IDGAF and LOL all rolled into one – three shots to barely get it out of the fairway bunker

    Easy 8

What happened with Cink’s caddie, Kipper? He’s using his son this week.

Not sure – I’ll try to reach out to Kip and see what’s up; I text with him about once every 2-3 months

Wow did Burns 💣 that one 18 !!

Brutal second shot; he doesn’t like to cut/fade it and it showed there.

Nice to see James Hahn playing good golf again.

Thought the same thing. 2 or 3 years ago he was contemplating quitting the game until his caddy had a heart to heart and talked him out of it. Basically said, “ I believe in you, now you need to believe in yourself.”

Kip responded quick; he said he should be back on his bag in an event or two – his son had some time and asked if he could caddy this week

I loved what Cink said about the 6th hole.

He had a 20 foot putt for birdie and was saying to his son the putt was definitely breaking a bit left, his son then objected and said he thought it was going right. He listened to his sons read and the putt, in his own words, “couldn’t have gone more in the middle of the hole”.

    Pretty cool stuff!

Nice! I was lucky to hold off that late charge from Timusbr. Thanks for setting up the t-shirts…I’ll wear it with pride.

Didn’t even do that well somehow.. because I had Burns.

Have Stuard at his 1% ownership and am in the top 150 with a 5/6. So close yet so far.

  • ifthethunder

I had Stuard and Pet Detective in showdown yesterday. Still did nothing thanks to the expensive duds. So on to today…

Stuard is my only hope of making some money this weekend. He’s in my one 6/6 I got through in the $3 birdie currently in 279th. Also have him in a few 5/6s. At 1.9% ownership, he’s gotta be my man today.

Looking for a nice run from Ortiz as well.

I was under the impression he left and he and his wife are doing a new venture.

    Edit: Kip Henley PGA looper

    @KipHenley
Nope. His son is working this week. He has free time because of the Covid and wanted to go loop for his Dad. I am 100% fine with it. My daughter looped for me the last time I played in something important. They have started out hot. I hope they win. It won’t hurt me if they do.

I try to find guys that hit 2/3 of: Guys I liked full tournament, guys with typically low 4th round, and those within a position distance to have a chance at top 5.

I clearly don’t have a good process, though.
