what a week of golf we got.

A very week field. I counted 31 of 140 were in the US Open. Some older vets that NEED fed ex pts if they want to continue on tour. You dont need to hit the ball 300 yards to get birdies, and a lot of birdies are going to be made. So it seems that average putters can do better and better putters having a hot day will break the slate.

The Scottish Open is a much better event with a bunch of PGA and world ranked players. I noticed not 1 US player made the trip. What a great way to see the Euro tour guys and how they match up with their cream of the crop that defected to the PGA (sans Garcia and Stenson).

    Winner: Sam Burns
    Fade: Uncle Benny and Seabass
    sleepers: Glover, Stuard
Deep shots: Hearn Byrd and Dirt

Before I get into Sanderson, just want to post a form spreadsheet for the Euro. Which is pretty stacked itself this week.

Prices out, looking at course history, hard to get excited about anyone with just 4 years to go off of. Most guys swapped MC with made cuts. Carlos Ortiz the strongest course history with two starts and finishes of 4th and 3d

I’m seeing 6 years of data. Is that wrong?

6300 wesley bryan is way too enticing for me… missed cut on the number at safeway with a bogey on 18. maybe not the right course for him?

Course this week seems comparable to Sedgefield (Wyndham Championship), so I’m using that as a comparable. Just too bad Webb isn’t in the field (although he’d be like 13k in a field this weak).

Did decent last week despite most of my guys tanking on the weekend.

Can someone invite me to the golf league on DK? I tried to join using the link in the sticky but it doesn’t seem to work.

How about TPC Sawgrass and TPC Scottsdale?

I’ve seen others mention Sedgefield as a comparable.

Also, the comment that this is a bomber’s course. Does this sound about right?

Haven’t dug that deep into things yet but those 2 would make sense as well from what I remember

I think bombers can do well but I dont think it is necessary. Before Champ won here, I would say it is not a bomber course.

EDIT: I get Champs wins mixed up…. I think it was this event…He outdrove everyone but had a hi accuracy rate and lead the field in GIR as well as many putting catagories. He had an overall great week of golf with all aspects to the game.

I’m just beginning my scuba dive, but I see Denny McCarthy has decent results here. This supports your thought, I think. McCarthy isn’t a bad driver, but he earns his living with the flat stick.

No your correct, I was wrong 😅

Course comparisons for the DUMMY’S (me)
past Sanderson Farms have winners in the -18 to -20+
I looked for all tournaments that had winners in that range and used them as my base.

I’ll let you know in about an hour. Haven’t run my data through yet. Work is killing me this week.

I wonder what Gordons ownership will be after burning everyone last week.

Was the highest owned guy, now I can see him in the high single digit range.

I think he suits this course great. Especially seeing how some not so great putters have performed well here in the past.

Pretty stoked that I’ve got Diamond status for October, had it for September and I think I’m in line for November Diamond status too with the number of crown bonuses coming my way. Sitting on a ton of them right now waiting for October to start

Do people really not know who your avatar is? I pity anyone that doesn’t know MAJ based on even the smallest of thumbnails. A true legend

  • BrianVT

Geez, IDK if it’s the quality of players that usually play here or what, but this data sucks this week. Very weak predictive ability. At any rate, the top 4 popping up are BOW, DD, DA, and Prox.

I had my favorite Danny Wuerffel avatar for so long (since I’m a longtime Saints fan, didn’t just jump on the Payton/Brees bandwagon), but since I’m just so much more active in golf, have a weird affection for EURO, I’m a little loopy – MAJ just seems right

Cink using his son Regan on the bag again this week.

Gordon is in my GPP core, simply for the ownership angle. I think he’s a good fit as well obviously, but I also think he’ll come in really low this week after the MC last week.

I won’t touch him in Cash but for tournaments he’s one of my favorite plays.

Tringale, Gooch, or Werenski is a tough call. I guess I just play all three?

  • MrBreeze

My Man Bud Cauley over priced? more than Sergio? LOL

Ok DK must know he is about to take a tournament down, and this weeks field couldn’t be more accommodating.

I will be 50%+ this week.

I’m going with Tringale myself of those guys
