Cam Davis -5 through 5. Wow. Birdie them all kid

  • Dunzor

Jesus, Scottie just missed a 3 footer for birdie..

Haha and that’s immediately followed by Mav making another 25 footer, guess I can stop watching for the day and work on nfl lineups

  • Baysman

Really needed that 6 foot bird putt to go in Doc. Terrible.

At least he birdied the last. Just weird watching him so many irons into the green short today. (Also yesterday, but yesterday the pitching/chipping/putting was good enough to make up for it.) I wonder if Scottie said, “Eff it, I’m too far back to win. I’m just going to spend the weekend getting these irons dialed in, rather than compensate.”

As for Davis, good to see he took finishing 3rd, aka last, in the Cameron contest yesterday to heart.

In happier business, it looks like I won almost $130 in cash and tickets on $2.60 worth of entrance fleas in the NASCAR truck event. Go figure. Before COVID, I never even considered doing anything NASCAR. Turns out I’m a lot better at it than some other sports. Most of ‘em, even.

P.S. Make that $100. They keep making scoring adjustments after the race is over.

Did daffue really just miss back to back 3ft putts to bogey the par 5?

Cam Davis into the lead! What a round!

  • Baysman

Good thing Gligic was good Thursday. He’s been real bad since then.

  • Cdavis21

    SeaBass going backwards

Did anyone use Cameron Davis this week and can give insight into why they liked him? He didnt show up on my radar at all and is 33-50% owned in contests…

Brian was Cam on your radar this week? what did you like about him?

Ive noticed that every week there is a player that is 30%+ owned that I miss and does really really well…

I’m traveling until tomorrow, so don’t have my notes with me, but yes, he’s in my main core. I didn’t play much, though, because the historical data wasn’t very consistent for this course. Turns out I should have played more, but that’s how it goes.

I posted the top 4 stats I was looking at earlier this week, so he was probably strong in those.

  • Dunzor

Chuckles making all kinds of par saves, none of my guys wanted to be the good putters this week

  • BadAtBetting

Well…Lahiri is not impressing today. Hurts me really bad to have him go so far back today

  • timusbr

Sergio putting with his eyes close makes me laugh my ass off.
then the announcers are talking about it and they reference Jordan Spieth doing the same thing. LMAO, OMG that explains it. they both suck. they both go thru periods they cant putt worth shit. Ya close your eyes that should help. Blind driving next?

  • BIF

Garcia with 3 straight days of positive SGP – the regressive return to his mean could be epic tomorrow

    1) Cameron Davis is in my Happy Meal lineup thanks to my personal, advanced proprietary model.

    2) Because way after midnight on Wednesday, and many alcoholic beverages, I finally got around to finalizing my lineups and decided that all three Camerons was a good plan.

One of these things is true.

Beyond repetition, putter changes and grip changes, a golf pro once gave me a good tip about the yips. He said try looking at only the hole instead of the ball when you putt and see if that helps. It did.I’ve modified the look since then, but my mind remains more focused on the target instead of the object in front of me.

Munoz birdied all 4 par 5’s in Round 1

Since then on the par 5’s, he has 7 pars 1 bogey

That’s the difference between 20th place and 1st place

  • BIF

Things can change fast on this course – yesterday Chappell was -12 after 9 holes and had a 4 shot lead; now 18 holes later, he’s -8 and 6 back
