Hoffman Chalk Woof, glad I went very light, and then Mito and Will Z who I have zero of, contrarian all the way to the top ! Have lots of entries cumulative in the 55%-70% range only because of Sunjae @20%, thats usually my sweet spot.

  • ifthethunder

Barnrat isn’t as popular as I thought he’d be. Just 1.9% in the DTG (but 7.5% in the 1st H.M. wnftibu).

Looks like Pendrith was popular low priced chalk. A late bloomer making it to the Tour at age 30.

Pendrith is a Bomber – he will finish top 10 in Driving Distance if not Top 5 this season. He took a somewhat normal (nowadays) developmental tour path to get to the PGA Tour. He was in the Golf Canada Amateur Developmental program while in college at Kent State (a program that has signed many Canadians including Conners, Hughes, etc.. and now has a Canadian and alumni Jon Mills as their head coach) then Pendrith turned pro after being Low Am at the 2014 Canadian Open and playing in the international amateur team competition Eisenhower Trophy (with Conners and Svensson) finishing 2nd to the US team with Bryson, Hossler and Denny Mac.

He then played on the Canadian (Mackenzie) tour and Web/Korn Ferry Tour with mixed success until this past “double season” on the KFT where he had 4 runner up finishes and 23rd in the 2020 US Open – now it’s his first season in the “bigs” with a PGA Tour Card.

I think he will have volatile results and be a tough guy to nail down weekly as to when to play and when to fade but he should have an edge on the bomber courses for sure as he can smash it close to Cam Champ length.

JB Hansen, you dumbass! Cruising along at -4 then bogey, DBB, birdie, DBB to finish at E. He was cruising until that nightmare finish.

    Toothpick ?

Are you mixing up Theegala with Bhatia ?

Theegala is not a toothpick or windsock like Bhatia or Chesson Hadley

No Conners, No Cash this weekend.

  • fsupete01

    I picked Zalatoris +1600, Conners +2000, Dahmen+8000, Wolff+7000, and Redman/Poston+17500. Put $100 on each, liking my chances.

  • tristanwolf

i got a little on corey outright and there was some good overlay in the $100 showdown so i took a stab at that with him too.

I hope you do well, but the first day is not even half way over. Lots of golf still to be played.

Oh, I definitely agree with you, long way to go…but the odds of Dahmen and Wolff have shot way up.

Maybe I am… oops. In any case I thought Theegala was being overlooked big-time and he could just overwhelm the course and the rest of this crew. I have a Theegala T5 bet hoping that he keeps this up all four days

That’s the other half of the two Coreys. Corey Feldman.

Need to bring this strong Theegala Thursday energy all four days!

My LU is crushing the AM and has Redneck Charley in the PM. If Mac Hughes gets his act together tomorrow…

  • RudyPujols

Mary Taylor Moore was nowhere on my KFT guy radar. Should he be?

Wise misses 6 footer for streak and hits it into the crap 25 yards short of Austin Cook’s drive
on the following Par 5. This guy can hemorrhage strokes with the best of ‘em even when he seems to be really on.

My sleeper John “Saint” Augenstein birdies 4 of the last 5 to go from near DFL to a hopeful -1. And Wolf with a totally unexpected BOFR has me cautiously optimistic for tomorrow.
Randomly, could Richie Werenski have played any worse ? That’s a brutally bad round for this course.

I think the SF course is one of the more misleading ones for DFG purposes. Yes, the winners tend to have low scores but DBBs do lurk for those that don’t keep their games together. It’s more punitive than people think.

My thought was to go with Bermuda specialists (Burns, Kiz), ball strikers that are looking to prove themselves on the PGA Tour (Theegala) and otherwise take PGA-quality putters (McCarthy, Hughes). After I picked them, I had basically my pick of golfers at the 6, and I couldn’t picture Redneck Charley not making this cut (plus, he’s been fire the last few months).

  • titanhawks

The Hoff with four straight birdies playing well alongside my winner pick Conners :)
