Forecast for 8/5, updated at 6:30PM.
A couple of games that I would not consider a “safe” play…
DET @ BAL – Winds NW at 10mph, blowing left to right across the field.
CWS @ BOS – Radar looks weak compared to model forecast, have lowered risk to YELLOW / ORANGE. SP still not a “safe” play, there’s still a
decent chance for a delay.
NYY @ CLE – A few weak showers are popping up south of CLE, should stay south. GREEN. Winds west at 10mph, blowing left to right across the field, no help to hitters or pitchers.
TEX @ MIN – Scattered showers and storms are already firing up in the area. No real rhyme or reason to the storms, but a delay is possible if one happens to pop on the stadium. YELLOW. If it helps give you a visual on the overall storm coverage, the National Weather Service has a 20% chance of storms tonight, and current radar is right in that 20-30% range.
SEA @ KC – PPD’d. RED.
PHI @ COL – A few showers and storms. YELLOW.
ARI @ SF – Winds west at 15, as almost always, blowing out to center.
That’s all, I’ll be updating through lock. See you on Twitter, @KevinRothWx.
GREEN – Play ball!
YELLOW – Delay possible.
ORANGE – Delay likely, PPD possible.
RED – Fade it.
