    RG Chief Meteorologist

First line through NE and Mid-Atlantic just about on schedule… 2nd line developing upstream.

MIA @ WASH (late game) – First line is well cleared out, 2nd line is a narrow broken line of storms, could cause delay, though future models don’t have the system looking very impressive. YELLOW . Winds NW at 10-15mph, blowing mostly left to right across the field.

CIN @ PHI – Initial concern is the first round of storms/rain, slowly clearing out of Philly as I type this. That round should be just about clear by game time, which is good news. The 2nd line could be slightly more impactful here than in WASH, but I think we are more likely looking at an in-game delay than a PPD. YELLOW / ORANGE , PPD threat exists but is not very high. Winds WNW 10-15mph, blowing a bit out to right.

DET @ BAL – Exact same thing I typed for BAL as far as rain chances go. YELLOW . Winds NW 10-15mph, blowing left to right across the field.

TOR @ TEX – A stray shower at worst. GREEN . Winds NNE at 10mph, that’s mostly blowing out to right.

NYM @ COL – Storm coverage too low for worries. GREEN / YELLOW .

That’s it for this morning, I’ll likely be back with an update before the 7PM games, and as always, follow me on twitter (@KevinRothWx) for radar pics and gifs.

    Happy Grinding,
    Kevin

    GREEN – Play ball!
    YELLOW – Delay possible.
ORANGE – Delay likely, PPD possible.
    RED – Just say no.

    Thanks Kevin! Much appreciated!

think the wind at wrigley is more of a cross with it actually angling “out” to left at times. it’s mostly a big boost for lefties and not so much for right handed batters. this is why a jake arrieta game is currently at a 8.5 total

We sure the Sox game will get in before the rain comes? Buchholz is pitching… you could time that guy with a sun dial.

It blew out to right field today. Rizzo had a wind aided HR.

yea if someone pointed it out before the game i meant right field that’s why i was saying it was a boost to lefties. just a Freudian slip at beginning of the sentance

Pretty sure your slip was that you meant to say a boost to righties. :)

On a serious note, as far as wind is concerned, oddsmaker is spot on. The Vegas total is always the best indicator of wind factor.

Props to Oddsmaker and Kaetorade…which one of you wants to win my FF MLB cash tomorrow?

I am feeling a little frisky and will be adding soft money to the 50/50s and tournies!

The roll is swoll there after the NBA rolling two day slates (if only more sites did that it is my belief that they would get a lot more H2H action and rake since there is just too much overlap on two game slates for volume).
