    Where: Kapalua, Hawaii

    When: January 5th – 8th

    Course: Plantation Course | Par 73 with 3 par 3s and 4 par 5s | 7411 Yards

Last Year’s Winner: Jordan Spieth with a score of -30

    • This is a tournament of the previous year’s champions I believe. Last year, there were 33 golfers in this event, which included Jim Furyk, who didn’t play due to injury. This is also a NO CUT event.

    Coverage: Golf Channel in primetime.

  • whodat2

I’m guessing Hideki will be the most expensive.

    Nah. Rory, dustin, day, speith…

Glad golf is finally back, looking forward to building lineups

Im looking forward to this new year of golf. Had to take the time to look at last years results. I made a conscientious decision to invest my time into golf and multiple lineup generation around August. The quarter arcade was by far the play each contest. with hopes of moving up one fine day. I played in 29 contests this year from August thru December. I had 3 nice wins 4 double up type wins 7 break evens and 15 outright losses. I think for myself the experiment of multi lineup is defenitly the best way to play to hit the big one.

Seems the first two weeks in Hawaii has always been live. Six PM EST is One PM in Hawaii.I Think

  • JimKronlund

Ok before I was too lazy to google it. Now I did. You were right.
6:00 PM Wednesday, Eastern Time (ET) is
1:00 PM Wednesday, in Hawaii, USA

  • JimKronlund

Seems decent enough Tim. As long as we dont lose too much before we hit something substantial, we are ok.
I have not hit a really substantial one yet. I think 4k was the most. That is not great when you mass enter.
I am talking golf only. The other sports are much tougher for me and I do not mass enter other than quarter stuff.

  • manoffewwords

Hard to believe but pricing is up for Kapalua TOC . No Na or Bowditch, no fun.

Such a weird event, makes sense in theory I guess, but the end result is the best of the best at the top and a bunch of clowns that im still amazed won a tournament this year at the bottom.

Stenson played this event the first time he qualified but has skipped it the other two. He usually plays the UAE events on the Euro Tour early in the year so I would guess he skips the ToC again this year.

Should be interesting to see all the red Os next to golfers when the official field gets announced this weekend.

  • titanhawks

I think the commit deadline is around 6 pm et friday.

It’ll be great to have golf back again; I hate playing NFL and won’t play anything else but MLB and that is seldom when it is in season

  • titanhawks

Will the golf league reset for the new year as far as points and earnings go?

I was wondering that myself… my guess – and its only a guess. It will reset Jan 2. (not the 1st because nobody at DK will be working).

  • JimKronlund

Yay, a no cut event. Sure have missed golf and this bloody golf thread. Its almost like not having a home base.

  • JimKronlund

after look at the players, this will be an exceptionally difficult group to pick from.

  • timusbr

3 top salaries and 3 bottom of barrel salaries are difficult. a few can be done but not sure I want that. In Tigers tourney, the bottom salary guys all sprinted to the top of the leaderboard early day 1 and they were at the bottom by day 3. I think I will pick 2 sets of keys and wheel my butt off with the rest i like.

Baddeley….seriously.. first glance opinion schwartzel knox baddeley herman pampling, kim walker all candidates for the last place

  • mgravity

Amazing how much Kuch plays and how solid he is but no win so no ToC. He is almost always good for many DK points will miss not having him in my LUs next week. So glad golf is back…the only thing I can do well. However I did win money on the Army/Navy game and bet on the Browns for the only game they could win this year…won $70 on the money line. Good luck guys BIG wins in 2017!

As expected most of top Europeans staying home. Except Rory. Field now 32 down from 38. I think guaranteed $100k for showing up, must be nice.

Well at least they are staying home, and not pulling a berger.

Anybody going to play Patrick Reed? 2nd and 1st last 2 years but his form has been pretty bad as of late. Although I do like how he finished back 9 of round 4 of Hero at -4. Maybe he figured it out.

I will play a little bit of Reed, but he is a perplexing play.
I think he was just out of gas at the end of last season.
He played the most amounts of tournaments of all the players.
He is not in the greatest shape either.
