So you really only could miss 2 days if you didn’t play those two showdown slates.

The 2019 stand alone showdown after the All Star break cost me my home run streak. I played enough lineups to have all the starting batters, but NO ONE hit a homer. I think one of the teams was Colorado, too.

Side note … I will be at the Winter Classic … how they got this game at the Cotton Bowl in Texas is beyond my comprehension but a nice little treat that may not happen again in my lifetime. Gonna be some rough ice

    Enjoy the experience
I’ve been to one outdoor NHL game, neat experience (glad I went) but terrible for viewing as there really are no good seats anywhere and I’d never go to one again. Tickets were double the cost of regular game and viewing experience was about 50% if that and like you mentioned, the quality of the ice was terrible and the glare from the sun was terrible as well. NHL hockey should stay indoors – the fun marketing experiment is now overdone and should stop – they’ll keep doing it until some star player gets hurt or until a game is cancelled because of weather or ice conditions.

I’m glad Alex Ovechkin is skipping it. He’ll get a one game suspension again (I guess?), but he’s a geezer and it’s worth it for the extended rest.

He’s skipping the all star game – @starstx is going to the outdoor game today between Nash and Dallas

I haven’t watched the all star game in a few years – it has gotten pretty bad over the years so I don’t blame him

Will there be shot tracker this week?

What did they change? I usually just use their json files for most everything recent (leaderboard and stats ones). Did they stop those?

If you are getting them manually, then you should be all set.

They added a timeout token that you need and you get it in the browser, but not in automated code (unless you use something that renders the page to get the background stuff processed via JS, something like Selenium).

There should be, though I forgot with the time difference the first groups don’t go off until the work day is almost over here on the east coast. I’ve been on vacation for a week so was hoping to ease back into work with a day of following golf

I always assumed that Vegas was an efficient market the way the stock market is

It isn’t. I learned that early. Especially in Golf.

  • BIF

Threw in 8 lineups in the $8 and played a few of NFL Satty’s in the golf lobby – hate the no-cut small field events but it’s still golf….

    anyone else liking Champ?

  • Steverino01

According to Roth, expect lots of wind this week.

Well I maxed another dime contest. So I now have 102 entries (20 lineups). Spent an even $25. Should get me a good head start on the birdies and cut makers.

I need a lot of crowns to get to Platinum next month as I used most of my stored achievement crowns on getting Diamond this month.

  • marker0357

i don’t understand the Birdies milestone. Do you get 15 crowns for each birdie made?

No typically the milestones go up exponentially so the first birdie might be a milestone giving you 15 crowns but the second milestone will probably be like 100 birdies and five you like 50 crowns or something and it’ll just scale up to whatever the final one is with some big payoff at the end

You get 15 crowns after your golfers hit 250 birdies to clear level 1. Then you need 1,000 for 50 crowns for level two. The top level you need 100,000 birdies for 2,500 crowns worth $4.54 lol

    Thanks Dunzor

I here ya BIF … I was expecting terrible view and weather could have doomed everything. Thought it would just be the experience. Got really lucky. It ended up being as good weather as you could get here … overcast … 55 degrees … slight breeze. If it was sunny they would have delayed the game a few hours. The Cotton Bowl ended up being great. Sat up high and was surprised it was a great view and not as bad as I expected. All of the stuff at Fair Park was free. Got a few photographs, saw some players and the Stanley Cup and was able to hit up a few State Fair rides. The fam had fun and they scored 4 goals in an 8 minute span to come back from a horrendous start. 85k people celebrating was cool to see. But yes … there are so many variables that could ruin the game. We got offered pre sale on tickets … 75 bucks … same tickets selling for 250 each once it sold out would have been ridiculous. The fair park pre-game experience is what made the 75 dollar tickets hit their value. Family had a blast.

Back to golf on the brain and glad I got some lineups to follow for tomorrow. Cheers fellas

I have three LU’s going with fewer entries in larger buy-ins (think it was Felixxberg brought that good advice up) so three $8 vs. eight $3 LU’s

15 players and only three more than once (twice actually) for this no-cut but will tighten it up for full field events

Checkers or wreckers as we say in racing lol

New Year new strategies so will be interesting to see how long this resolution lasts :)

Yep! Contest selection is very important!

I might play the $75 3 entry max (151 entrants).

Nice – looked like a good day – glad you enjoyed the whole experience. We also had a veterans (alumni) game with past Jets vs Oilers greats as well which included Gretzky, Kurri, Coffey, Fuhr, Hawerchuk, Selanne

Are you a Stars season ticket holder ? Is that why you had pre-sale access ?

    Good luck in that one!

I can’t go that high but did put my three in the pme so I’m trying to work my way up there:)
