Hey guys…I’d like your opinion on something. I play in $25 50/50s on Fan Duel pretty regularly and I’ve noticed something that caused me to raise an eyebrow. Multiple times over the past 7-10 days several well known pros/“touts” have been playing the exact same lineups. Most nights there are two to four of them with identical lineups. It’s a combination of guys from this site as well as RotoLabs. Anyway, I’m not sure what the etiquette is but it did bug me a bit. What do you all think? Not a big deal?

Nothing illegal about it, and nothing we can do about it.

Just gotta build better lineups than them unfortunately.

i believe they are all working together. if you’ll notice, some nights they do have slightly different lineups.

I’ve stopped playing cash games and have got back my play considerably due to these type of things.
FanDuel doesn’t really care, so as someone else said, it’s not against the rules…so inguess it’s going to be up to the individual how much it bothers them and edfects their play habits.

There’s that, but you understand you’re at a severe disadvantage working against a team of researchers/lineup builders when there’s only one of you, right?

By the way, it’s also not illegal to call bullshit when you see something you think is bullshit. It doesn’t matter if it’s technically against the rules or not.

They will be here shortly, defending themselves, saying its a short slate, coincidence, yada, yada. whatever. I call it collusion even if Fanduel doesn’t.
15th thread in the last week about this shit but it is all just a coincidence—SMH

i called bullshit the other night to admin on (youdacao, moklovin, pianoclub) all 3 had the same line up with the same score..after a few back and forth commenting with admin, I told them that I came to the conclusion that they have outside information about the lineups that other players didn’t have, since we all have the same access to all the projections/research as they do…well maybe not.

    No

There is collusion and there will continue to be until you speak up with your wallet. Take your money somewhere else. Stop donating to these people. Even in the “single entry” tournaments you are being colluded against.

Have to disagree about the single entry. I welcome people trying to run trains in the single entry, as the lineups are far more chalky than a regular GPP. A lot of nights guys like Youdacao, Sahil, KingFi, etc have pretty mediocre lines in the single / 3 entry max. They just play their highest projected optimal lineup(s) so they’re basically entering cash game lineups. Not hard to differentiate if you’re building your own lineups In these GPP’s.

Stop playing $25 50/50s unless you absolutely have to. Fan Duel limits the number of entries a player can have at the $10 and below level on any slate to 250 total entries. The pros with larger bankrolls need to play at higher dollar levels in order to put the amount of money to work that they want to get in there. I’d rather play 25 $1 50/50s than 1 $25 50/50 for this reason, AND because the cash/cut line for the lower dollar contests is often (not always) less than what it is for the higher dollar buy-in contests.

Unless you’re putting more than $5000 to work on each slate, there’s no reason for you to play $25 games.
