I have the same
since golf is volitile, inconsistency is tolerated. the trick is to pick the wrong guy on the wrong week. and He is the death train.
As soon as you have forgotten him he will T20 and outperform the same by 20 Fpts. If one of your questions would be do you want a guy to par his way around with some birdies or a guy who goes for the birdies and ends up with bogies. I will say more often than not the birdie/bogey guy scores more points in DFS. That is your Death Train.
He’s pretty bad. EXCEPT when he’s good. KSDT.

Going big this week and playing 3 LUs. Core of 3 and work 3 different in each or core of 4 +2 on each?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
It doesn’t mean Mon-Tue-Wed; it’s only the days there is golf so obviously you missed a lot of Fri-Sat-Sun showdowns or you didn’t enter any contests at $1 or more on those days. The quarters and min-max .50 ones don’t count
And besides, he’d be at the Baccarat table 🙄
Inquiring minds need to know what constitutes a busy week for Tim ??
Over the years, you have given us this perception of a guy who doesn’t leave the apartment much; I’m sure your weed gets delivered, groceries get delivered, bills get paid online, pension/disability checks get auto-deposited and you spend your day combing over stats and entering data into your spreadsheets.
With sports betting now legal in Illinois, I’m not sure if you do it online or physically go to the casino ?? But given Covid and the general avoidance of risk, my guess was online.
hmm im at 106 /130 for the iron man gonna be tight. i guess playing euro wednesday looks at 11 pm eastern so sb able to get 5 days this week.
had a good week too, by golf picks been bad but i had the preakness tri for a buck which paid nice and did well on nascar.
good luck everyone this week.
I didn’t think Euro counted nor did the Outlaw Tour
curious as to you pick the number of lineups and the style and amount for contests before picking your player pool? isnt that kinda like the horse nosing the cart along?
very true…I had to get up and do something. I volunteered!!!
The status of my life with covid was making me a bit crazy especially watching the news. I got a sweet little job that expects nothing allows me to be in there and makes me feel I am doing something. paid for by the committee to re-elect Dick Durbin.
Many Years ago I wrote the Senator a letter and asked him for some help with the State Dept. I was astounded and very lucky that I received that help. I supported him since, even donated. I have had very limited contact with anyone but I asked to volunteer in the office and they called me back.
cmon the pai gao room
Where can I get bentgrass putting info? Like, who are the top bentgrass putters?
Yea, I don’t enter showdowns everyday, but I do $1 entries when I do. Showdowns are a losing proposition to me, especially round 1.
Or, to put it another way, showdowns are a complete gamble. I don’t really like to feel like I’m completely gambling. I like to at least tell myself that I had a educated/thoughtful strategy in place to pick players, with just a little added luck needed to take my picks to the top. I need 4 full rounds for that to play out.
Wait, BIF, let’s go back to this. You’re saying entering the full tournament contests Mon-Wed don’t get me any credit? I’d have to wake up Thursday morning and enter the little contests that are available after the big ones have filled? I don’t understand how Mon-Wed wouldn’t count.
Or, maybe Mon-Wed only get me credit for Thursday? Oh well, there’s no way I can get there now anyhow.
It doesn’t go by “when” you enter, it just counts the day of golf. All of us with the “max” number have played every day golf has been played, so Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for the Labor Day tourney. It is a grind that’s for sure but entering some “late” SDs for crowns has been beneficial.
To get full credit, for all 4 days of golf in a week:
Thur – either a 4-day contest OR a Round 1 SD; that doesn’t meant you buy entry on Thur but have an entry for a contest starting Thur
Fri – enter a RD 2 Showdown contest for golf that starts Fri
Sat – you would have to had play a Weekend contest or a Round 3 SD
Sun – you would have had to play a Round 4 Showdown to get credit for Sunday
Ok, got it. Thanks!
Alright, who is the safer play: Finau or Hideki?
RG Overall Ranking
All in si woo
To Cantlay or to not Cantlay.. guy has burned me so many times since the restart… but his record here is nuts.
Though I suppose you could say it’s not sustainable.. tough one.
Molinari down there at $6700…may have to take a shot on him this week. That’s insanely cheap for the upside if he gets back to his form from a few years ago.
Not really when I already have my player pool completed and am at the point of just getting some input from others as I am pretty much a single LU GPP only player.
I took 1st and 3rd one week in a max 3 by just picking my favorite 6 guys, and then for the 2 guys I was least comfortable with, I swapped 1 each on my next 2 lineups..
More recently for max 3, I pick my favorite 6, then swap out 2 in each of my next two lineups (4 different guys). So, I guess that’s like 2 at 100%, 4 at 66%, and 4 at 33%.
I’ve only seen it on paid sites. Otherwise, you’d have to build a database with the grass type for each course, filter on grass type, and look at SGPutting. The PGA Tour site doesn’t show grass type in the stats, but has all kinds of shotlink data for putting stats.
