Well, if you think about it, anyone under 10 wins has to be a scam account. How could anyone who just started and barely puts any effort into his be better than me? I will never give credit. That would mean admitting a beginner is better than me.

It’s amazing, there have been others over the past year + that have won live events with less than 10 wins, but you didn’t hear anything then about them being a relative of an established, successful player.

  • Stonecoldnuts

I dont get the whole only has 20 wins thing..I mean she joined in late november and its now February….most new people dont play every single day and dont put in 100 entries in a night….she might have 20 wins and only played a couple times a week with not many entries…It makes perfect sense that someone like that could bink a Q….I would rather see someone like this winning finals then the already rich dfs pros…Its better for DFS and better for everyone involved…I just hope she puts some of that money into baseball!

For the record, I am not assuming anything suspicious with the results of the tournament and congrats to all who participated and performed well.

However, why is it presumably fine to discuss the problem with multi-accounting on this forum on a regular basis, but then the second people have a question about a specific event where the results could be viewed as a potential multi-accounting issue (AGAIN, NOT SAYING THAT IS THE CASE HERE) people get up in arms and attack those who have a question about it?

lol would you witch doctors settle down.

Give me 1 good reason a “pro” would have a relative set up an account and play lineups for them? Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t every single Q multi entry?

only reason would be if someone wanted to go past the max entries for a Q

Could she be the wife of another bigtime player that picked her team ? That’s some serious luck if she only has 20 wins to not only qualify and win in 20 tries

Yeeaaaaah, something must be up ? It’s gotta be someone’s wife or sister, maybe a lesbian !!! No way a woman could win !!! She’s just a woman, with a small brain !!!

    Shut up. You’re a joke.

Comments of this ilk are pathetic. Is it that tough to just accept that you or we got beat by a newbie and a woman ?

  • Putz

For those of you calling it luck, does that thow out the game of skill argument? I mean, to get lucky in both the Q and the final seems to counter the luck argument.

  • realdeals

It’s def skill, but luck also plays a huge factor. Congrats to her. Awesome

It’s because those people are looking for an issue where none exists. One of the reasons you’ve seen the vast majority of “name” players leave these forums are for that exact reason. People hurling wild accusations with zero fact or truth behind them for the only reason of tearing other people down. It’s jealousy, it’s ugly. That’s why some people take offense when they see posts or comments like that about a genuinely nice person who just had, in her own words, “One of the most exciting nights of her life” having her integrity called into question because some randos on the internet have nothing better to do than to try and make snide comments.

99.9% of the time, there’s no need for an exhaustive investigation into what happened. She won a seat to this tournament in NFL, she made the decision to fade the highly owned plays (Frazier, Thomas and ADavis) and it worked out. There’s really nothing else to see here and no need to dig deeper. Just congratulate her and move on. The problems arise when people simply refuse to do that.

Agree and Well-said Smizz. conspiracy theorists are generally whacked. Still amazed there’s tens of thousands of them that believe 9/11 was by our own Gvt. Redicilous.

  • Putz

    Big Al,

Several “name” players were exposed lineup sharing when they previously denied it. If they can’t handle “facts” when presented exposing their lies or denials, what is left but to question their integrity? They can do a few things after caught lying… They can run away, continue to deny, use the old “it’s not against the rules comment”, or stop doing it.

Some of the comments are over the top by jealous people, but just as anyone else in the public eye who wins or is good at their craft, they will have doubters or “haters.” They just need to have thick skin.

I totally agree and understand what you’re saying Smiz, but having been a member of this community for two years it is frustrating to see what the forum has become.

I appreciate a solid discussion that can often times become heated, but in the end respected by all parties involved. What is happening now basically is a popularity contest where depending on the vibe that the thread holds, people will overwhelmingly choose a side and pile on those who are in the minority. I understand that is the culture in which we live in as a society, but the result it has had on RG is one where there are very few debates and discussions, and instead a massive growth in absurdity (which I think is also a reason many well known individuals rarely are found here anymore).

Do I think multi-accounting is a huge problem, or even one that was present last night? No. However, should people be bashed, insulted and made to feel insignificant because they question something? Of course not.

I recognize that unfortunately some people lack the ability to appropriately question something without sounding like a fool, I just wish members and mods (yes, it would take a collective effort from both sides) would do a better job of managing the nonsense so real discussions can become a possibility when events like last night occur.

I think the key here is what you stated in the middle of your post. If people want to question something they need to logically lay out their argument.

Let’s look at this example. Why would someone question pmiles ability to create her own team? Is it because she has less than 10 wins or is it because she is a woman? To me both arguments are absurd and the person raising that argument deserves to be flamed.
