Is it true he sometimes gets paid by people who support “regulated” gaming and writes “opinion” articles against DFS, often in a negative light, with lots of conjecture and speculation taken as fact by so many, such as the main stream media?

Is it true those same people who pay him, and those with similar interests, are after DFS because they can’t get online gaming legal here in the US? Is he a shill for them or a good guy who supports DFS?

Anyone done an investigation on the motive of Chris Grove and who pays him via “Consulting” services?

Just curious given his poker background. His most recent article or blog or anti-DFS report was “investigating” whether DraftKings was blocking users or not from playing games from within the state over the weekend. I didn’t pay much attention to his writings until recent events, only to see the biased garbage he writes.

Anyone have knowledge of this and care to answer these questions?

There are little to no ethical/moral based reporters or main stream media outlets anymore. You can’t rely on these for your news anymore. All about what will build up stories, propaganda, and eye-balls/clicks.

    Very true.

Again, what is the point of this dude “investigating” whether sites are complying with state laws? He is becoming a part of the story vs. a blogger. His reason is clear.

Asking why he was doing investigation is a much different question/issue than trying to pick apart his actual arguments. Substantively, he was right, it is noteworthy that DK appeared to not be blocking non nevada residents from playing DFS using a computer on wifi within the state of nevada. That they would be blocking that same user if said user was on a mobile phone is irrelevant.

That he may have an agenda or that it’s kind of silly for him to be writing the article in the first place doesn’t change the fact that his substantive point on this specific issue was entirely reasonable, and you seemed to try to argue against it by offering a irrelevant counterpoint.

It hurts your overall argument to have an easily destroyed sub-argument. Your main point is very intersting and worth investigating. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot with irrelevant, or mistaken, or just outright wrong, sub-points.

Great, so we agree it’s agenda driven substance worth investigating his motive/consulting clients.

Not only is he biased, but his speculation about what he is reporting exacerbates the situation. It`s one thing to report that preet is investigating federal laws, its another to “speculate” and thus spew the worst case scenario about what may or may not happen. How many threads now are people panicking about their money and wanting to cashout fearful that their money will get locked up for years and that DFS is all going down asap. It`s ridiculous that this guy is profiting off our industries panic…
