We are excited to announce the LIVE FINAL $100,000 FantasyAces Basketball Championship (FABC). This live event will take place on April 4, 2015, in Newport Beach, Calif., where 13 finalists will square off for the $40,000 grand prize. The details & payouts are exactly the same as the FAFC except we are going to make the event even more enjoyable. We decided to create the $100K FABC contest due the recent success of the live FantasyAces Football Championship on November 23, 2014, when John Lee, aka tipandpick, won the $40,000 top prize in a heated battle that went down to the final quarter of the last game of the day. The energy at our live NFL final was just incredible. Before the FAFC final ended, my brother Bryan and I had already decided to do the same thing for our NBA players. Our goal is to build upon the FAFC event and make this upcoming championship even better.

*1 great point about this $8500 value entry to the FABC is that we are only charging $805 over the actual entry which barely covers the flights. Basically we are doing the majority of the spending for this event, and not the players.

Why must I be on the worst downswing ever. I’d enter 10 lineups for sure if not.

Just wanted to take a moment out of my workday to add a few thoughts to what Trent/FantasyAces has posted here…but from the perspective of a DFS player who has been to their first live final just a few weeks ago.

In 2013, I won two entries into DraftStreet’s $3M DFFC in December. While DraftStreet treated us finalists well, they did not go ‘all out’ in the manner that FantasyAces did for the FAFC this past month. Just a few highlights of my experience:

    1) FantasyAces paid for me AND my ‘plus one’ to come to the venue; other sites will make you pay for your guest’s travel expenses (for me, this was $750 added value). McJester (another FAFC finalist) didn’t require an airplane ticket due to his proximity to the live final, so they sent a freaking limo to pick him up and transport him to the event!

    2) The hotel accommodations were top-notch from the moment we checked-in (“Good afternoon, Mr. Lee…would you like a glass of wine during your check-in?”) until we left and being directly on the Bay was phenomenal.

    3) Like other live finals, we received swag from the site upon entering the resort…but FantasyAces went the extra mile and made sure that each competitor had his/her favorite alcoholic beverage, on ice, upon entry into their room! This is the type of individual attention you can expect from this crew.

    4) With only 13 competitors, the degree of individual attention each finalist receives is unique…it is truly a different experience than with other live finals because of the exclusivity/size of the event.

    5) The roster composition on FA is the absolute best in the business, IMO. With the positional flexibility you get on FA, the skill aspect of DFS really shines—if you’re a good NBA DFS player and you’re not playing on FA, you’re doing yourself (and your bankroll) a disservice.

    6) Lastly…to the best of my knowledge/recollection, this is the only LIVE basketball final in the industry. The other sites might run higher dollar GPP’s, but none of them give you a free vacation along with it.

Anyhow…FantasyAces gets the “tipandpick” seal of approval; if you qualify and need a ‘plus one,’ I’m there…just don’t ask me to wear anything provocative—I’m a drinker, not a lover. ;)

This is what I miss about the contests from yester-year.A whole lot of cramming as many bodies in a live event as you can now and lacking some of that personalized attention. I’ll be giving this a shot for sure

I could go on and on about what a great event it was, but couldn’t say it any better than what TipandPick did.

One thing that I will emphasize is the personalized experience. Having a final of only 13 people, you get to meet everyone who is in the competition who were all great people, as well as get to know the fantastic crew at Fantasy Aces. I hope to get back out there for what should be another great event.

Thanks for the good words Devin! Hope to see you out here in April!

Reading tipandpick’s comments about the first class experience the guys at Aces provided to the finalists makes it sting a little more that I narrowly missed twice in the Qs. The cash associated with 3rd and 4th place finishes two separate weekends helped the bankroll, but damn it would sure have been nice to have made my first live final!

Hoping to get there for the live hoops final.

As someone that entered the industry almost 1 year ago and that plays on multiple sites, I strongly encourage all Grinders to give Aces a shot. They provide a great product, provided me great service when setting up my account and obviously provide an unbelievable experience to those lucky enough to qualify to their live events!

And while some may not be excited by a $100K prize pool, where else in the industry can you qualify for live events in such small (200-400) Q entry fields and then compete against 12 others at the live event? It is this type of REAL opportunity that is missing everywhere else in the industry.

complete newb to fantasyaces here and accidentally created a bunch of NFL H2Hs when I meant to create some nba h2hs. How do I change these to NBA or cancel the entries? I can’t figure out where the cancel button is. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but really can’t find cancel anywhere.

  • dmoen21

This sounds like a really cool event. Definitely will be signing up for FA after this!

In NFL this year, I qualified with just 1 entry in week 1. It can be done, I highly encourage everyone to give them a shot.
