Question — I am confused about something regarding Steps Tourneys…

Tonight, I finished tied for 2nd place in a 10-person step tourney. I was in a tie for 2nd at 129.9 in a baseball contest.

Anyway, I thought in reading the DK rules, that the rules regarding “survivor” tournaments would apply, which means the tie-breaker is who has the highest scoring player. We both had someone with 35 and 23 points each (the same player), and then I had the next most highest at 16, so I thought I’d advance with a $7 ticket to Step 2.

Instead, it took the combined value — $9 ($7 and $2) and split it between me and the other guy, and gave us $4.50 each in cash.

I suppose that’s fair in a sense, but I was wondering why the tie-breaker for “survivors” didn’t apply – I couldn’t find the specific rule for Steps Tourneys in the FAQ on DK so perhaps they are different.

    Thanks.

Any other tournament other than Survivors, they do what they did in your Step example… just split the amount evenly between those who have tied.
