The next few days will feature some very strange weather for baseball, including temps below freezing, and chances of snow. So far we don’t have any major impacts, but that could change in the coming days:
STL @ PIT – A high temp only reaching the mid 40s, meaning we have cold (and dense) air in place. The higher the temp is, the farther a ball flies, so this is not exactly a hitters dream. On the plus side, a pretty decent 15mph sustained wind, with gusts of 25mph, will be blowing out to left. A bonus for any righty power hitters.
NYM @ KC – Very windy day, but by first pitch tonight those winds will weaken. We should be looking at winds around 10-15mph during the game, which is blowing out to dead center.
Just like the past couple years, I’ll be posting weather updates every day, and tweeting forecasts and radar images from @KevinRothWx, check it out and give me a follow!
Happy Grinding everyone, hope you have a great season,
