Forecasting on the road, so excuse the brevity here. Overall it looks pretty good, my biggest concern is that the weather pattern is extremely slow moving, so if we get unlucky and a shower goes over a stadium, it could sit there for a while.

TB @ DET – North winds at 15, gusts 25mph. Out to right center.

SEA @ CIN – NW winds 10-15, out to center.

MIL @ NYM – Iso slow moving showers. Nothing threatening on radar. Impacts look unlikely. YELLOW / GREEN .

CLE @ BOS – Similar to NYM, showers possible, but not overly likely. Slightly higher coverage of rain, but it should all stay light. I think they could play through any rain chances if they needed to. YELLOW.

ATL @ PHI – Iso showers. Light and fairly low coverage. YELLOW / GREEN .

COL @ PIT – Radar is fine right now, keeping rain east. Forecast models pop up some showers/storms. I’m not exactly sold on that happening, but this is a case where I have to rely fully on high-res models to forecast what WILL happen, as opposed to PM games where I can just look at radar and see what IS happening. I’m pretty optimistic here, but until we see where storms fire, this game will carry at least some risk. YELLOW / ORANGE.

KC @ CWS – NE 10-15, blowing left to right.

TOR @ MIN – South 15-20, blowing right to left.

LAD @ SD – Morning sprinkles long gone by first pitch. GREEN.

    GREEN – Play ball!
    YELLOW – Delay possible.
ORANGE – Delay likely, PPD possible.
    RED – Just say no.

    I prefer “his dudeness”

Seeing elsewhere that the wind is blowing in at 12 mph in Det? Differences in detection? Or maybe a mistake on someones end?

    The dudeness abides

Unlike most parks, home plate is on the North side of Comerica, hence the North winds pushing out today.

Tough PPD in that Pitt game. Storms just kept popping right over the stadium, a few miles east and the game would have played with zero trouble at all. That’s why it’s always tough to forecast those afternoon games, you never know exactly where the storms will pop.
