Just copy Jersey and get it going it’s been a year !

Unfortunately they DID’NT copy Jersey. The route they too is to screw the Tennessee citizens —and the bookmakers

Articles floating a theory around in gambling sites— stating the state of Tennessee doesn’t really want players/customers playing on the states upcoming gambling sites. They claim the reason Tennessee passed the stupid 10% hold was to discourage people from playing. Thus believing that betters are not dumb enough to lay 125 instead of 110 to win 100. They maintain the reason the state passed the sports betting law to begin with , was ONLY to get the annual outrageous 750k fee from sites like FD/DK. etc. Then the DK/FD etc have to pony up 20% tax. Anyway they maintain if gambling sites like DK/FD etc are dumb enough to play by those Tennessee conditions-then they will certainly take the $$$$. They maintain that Tennessee lawmakers want the betters to play elsewhere or dont care if they do play elsewhere—-thus not hurting the Tennessee state lottery .

As you can see above—-I have been asking for a reply from Rotogrinders/FD/DK .etc———I wonder the same. I wish or I think DK/FD and the like ought to boycott the state and REFUSE to operate under the states UNFAIR laws.

  • jsw3ent

Only an idiot would gamble on the Tenn. sites under the current rules. Most Tennesseans will continue to play on offshore sites like 5Dimes etc—or local bookies ——people in MEMPHIS area will just drive to Tunica or Arkansas.

Tennessee is supposed to go live in July—-but football by the latest

    Taking forever !

    Taking forever !

Yep—-last year they were gonna be ready by kickoff——then by tipoff—- then by bowl games—- then by NFL playoffs—- then by first pitch . But the real question is — why in the world would anyone play on the Tennessee sites when they do finally open. Why would anybody cheat themselves out of money.

  • moonshiner

No updates at all in forever like who will be i. Tennessee.
    DK FanDuel mgm ?

  • jsw3ent

Yesterday news came out that they are still trying to decide (Wednesday) who will have the power and how much—-the lottery or the council . Law passed over a year ago and they are still arguing . A clown show. DK/FD/MGM/FOX—all should tell Tennessee to take the yearly 750K—20% annual tax—-and the 10% hold—-and stick it where the sun don’t shine !

  • moonshiner

Yea crazy . I’m hoping to just get it started and then I read after a year they can adjust things

  • jsw3ent

supposedly three (UNNAMED)sites have applied for license . Last year they hoped for kickoff by kickoff. A couple months ago they were hoping by July——now once again they are hoping by KICKOFF——now they are blaming the delay on covid 19——you can’t make this stuff up.

  • jsw3ent

2 of them are rumored to be BETMGM and UNIBET

  • jsw3ent

Now they say they are delayed ONCE AGAIN because director bailed—-took another job—-because she apparently got tired of fighting them over stupid rules/regulations. Other states laughing at Tennessee’s model . …also the operators that did apply have still not finished the application process ——rumor is that they are not enthused on paying Tennessee 750K per year (more than the other states)—-then 20% taxes every year——then the 10% hold-thus giving the customers in Tennessee inferior lines—-fearing that Tenn gamblers will just continue to play off-shore or with the local bookie . What a joke . Like I said in earlier post —DK/FD and the others should tell Tenn thanks but no thanks

  • jsw3ent

Now Tennessee says November 1st at the latest. Outlets are saying 4 operators have applied. The news outlets are also ridiculing/criticizing the state of Tenn over the rules that will hinder the sites—- they are saying most likely bettor’s will just continue betting with local bookies or offshore. What a cluster . Tennessee bettor’s will have FAR LESS favorable odds than other states. Why screw your own residents. The Tenn model is the laughingstock of the gambling world—-every article is critical.

  • jsw3ent

The four are FD—-DK—-BETMGM—-… and Tennessee Action 24/7

  • jsw3ent

    BETMGM—- FANDUEL——DRAFTKINGS —-now approved.

  • jsw3ent

    Tennessee Action 24/7 approved

  • jsw3ent

I wonder if all the trouble FD is having with DFS——will affect the quality of the sports book operation ?

  • realphipps

Are we expecting this to launch by Sunday?

Yes—-Sunday is launch date——however they keep hinting starting a little earlier to avoid mass chaos by starting on the weekend
