Thiem is sucking it up good right now.

Still early but he hasn’t had good results here in the past where he’s gone 0-5. But I’ve continued to roster him this week hoping for him to do better.

  • BadAtBetting

Medvedev is serving unbelievably. 80% first serve in and winning 91% of those. Hopefully we see some regression towards the mean pretty quick here

  • benrocket

I don’t understand why people play 2 people from the same match, especially if you’re trying to go 6/6.

Yea I never understood that either.

  • dw12290

Thiem is going to ruin my DK lineup. Glad I only have him in 1 of my FD lineups.

  • dw12290

At this point I’ll take a straight set win by Medvedev for my FD lineups.

  • BadAtBetting

Yeah Thiem seeming like he might be done. Down 0-40 on his own serve and double faults to give him the break.

  • Jenesaisblah

Oh thiem, you breakin my degen heart over here.

  • dw12290

My DK lineup is 0/4 so no chance to win anything there. I do have 1 lineup on FD that is 3/3 so far with Osaka, Halep and Bautista yet to play. Might be able to go 6/6 but I don’t think I’ll be in the top 10. I only have 438.80 points and there is 9 people tied for 1st with 2 players left and they all have a score of 599.50.

I’m thinking of using the FD late swap to replace Halep for Nadal and/or Osaka for Williams but everyone knows what happens when you switch players.

    My DK Lineup has

    Thiem (Loss)
    Khachanov (Win)
    Andreescu (Win)
    Nadal
    Osaka
    Monfils

I should be able to cash if I go 5/6 considering Medvedev was the only favourite that won so far.

You should be able to cash with 5/6 especially with Nadal and Osaka who should get a lot of point in my opinion. I also think that Monfins and Bautista should be a close match but you never know.

I keep thinking of tinkering with my lineup and swapping out Halep and Bautista for Nadal and Monfins or throw Williams in there somewhere but I know I would kick myself if I change only to lose. It is tempting though lol

  • dw12290

Well thankfully it’s to late to swap for Nadal. I need Bautista to win and you need Monfins. Good luck!!

My analysis for tomorrow’s first games for those playing FD:

I like Kenin over Andreescu. I think the fatigue is starting to set in for Bianca and she suffered a groin injury in the 2nd set. I think this one is close but Kenin takes it. 6-4, 7-6.

Khachanov vs Medvedev is a fight for the Russian #1 ranking. I think Medvedev takes it though. He’s too solid. 6-3, 7-5.

No complaints from me at all.

    So far I love it!

I think Kenin should win but it might be closer than we think. I also think Medvedev gets the win in straight sets but more like 6-2, 6-3 or 6-4.

I’d it just as hard to b go 0/6 as it is 6/6

It’s pretty easy to go 0/6 in the early rounds if you’re willing to leave $20k on the table to get there.

Halep you arsehole .. Cost me a decent cash in the 777

First of all, FanDuel’s “three roster spot” contests: those are really good, please keep up that work. Those contests are so much more viable and fun to play than what your competitor offers during the SF’s and Finals of tournaments.

However, FanDuel desperately needs to start offering contests on the Monday’s and Tuesday’s of tournaments. These days offer the most amount of matches. Yes, they do offer the highest risk of WD’s and mid-match retirements but especially for Masters 1000’s and Grand Slams, those risks are significantly mitigated. When FD’s first slates of a week is a 14-19 match slate on Wednesday, and then a 12-16 match slate on Thursday, I just can’t play significant action because the edges are larger with more matches. It’s just easier to keep larger portions of my bankroll on other sites since I’ll only play the weekend 3-roster spot contests for fun.

I haven’t played a full six roster spot contest on FD yet because of this. However, with some changes, I will certainly reconsider my position and where I place my action. Thanks!

I agree with Ross about Monday and Tuesday tennis. Since FD has late swap it would be easy to replace players that may withdraw as long as it wasn’t the 1st match at lock time.

  • Yeoman

Hey, why is court 7 empty? Oh, right, that’s the Tomic match.

(Yes, another w/d, this time at 1-2 in the first set. I think that’s six in-match retirements in the last 12 months, which is probably a record I would guess.)
