I’m the guy drinking. At least we can play Isner tonight

  • callmetouch

    Thanks for nothing Dimitrov.

  • JH822547

Sorry guys I’ve been on holiday, back for a cracking Tuesday slate.

Cam Norrie still being disrespected I see.

  • skleni

Norrie OUT, I am done for the day

  • JH822547

That sucks, I had him in a few but not in my higher stakes, was put off by the fatigue factor but surprised he ducked out when in such good form.

  • JH822547

Struff bottle job, plenty of chances to take the 2nd set including two set points. 6/6 dream is dead.

  • Baysman

Shapovalov. 14 double faults and counting. Thanks for coming out.

  • JH822547

Another bad day. Shapovalov puts the last nail in the coffin.

  • LegiaWwa

I was on the Norrie train, so dead in the water, but Holy shit Paire won a match! In straight sets!

  • JH822547

Against Basilashvili who had just won a tournament fitting your favourite narrative.

Bas beat Struff in that final and he also lost in straight sets.

  • LegiaWwa

My favorite narrative against the player who openly admits to losing on purpose. Couldn’t pull the trigger either way.

Although with fans in attendance, Paire actually seems to care.

  • MrPerfekt7

    Sabalenka or Mertens

  • mookie336

    Sabalenka for me.

Do you guys think Nadal will go easy on Alcaraz on his 18th birthday?

  • jeffgo33

JFC, how many times do I have to take it up the hooha because someone down 6-1, 4-0 can’t take it anymore and quits? Just killing me all week!

  • mookie336

    Mertens has no shame whatsoever.

  • Yeoman

Isner 32 aces, no double faults. That’s two off the record for a best-of-three match (Karlovic once had 34/0).

Doesn’t seem possible on clay, but looking it up I see Karlovic once had 78 in a five-set match on clay (with some double faults though) that took six hours and went 16-14 in the fifth.

  • LegiaWwa

Is the clay in Madrid faster than at Roland Garros? Sure seems like it or Isner is just en fuego right now

  • JH822547

Few others seem to be troubling the bonus so I guess it’s Isner specific.

Sabalenka is absolutely bullet proof right now, fast becoming my favourite player to draft, never got to the QF of a grand slam though.

  • LegiaWwa

What a weird slate. 9 of the 10 favorites have huge odds -333 or greater.

  • broloelcunado3

Thoughts on the Garin Medvedev clash tomorrow? I’m leaning one way and then the other , just minutes later.

Yeah it is way faster and actually, the altitude plays an even bigger role. Probably the fastest clay tournament besides Kitzbühel and Bogota on the calendar.

  • skleni

All over Garin on that one

  • skleni

All the Italians for me today

  • callmetouch

    Wtf is Sakkari doing???????????
