Daily fantasy Tennis is just like Nascar contests. You never know when a player is going to crash out and wreck your whole line up. But you know its going to happen….

  • thetitanlb

Looking as if Sevastova another favorite who will fall. Raonic loses the first set as well. This is looking like a bloodbath today

  • hcassidy

When you finally check what is going on and you had Sharapova, but had money left and moved to Pliskova because no way Bertrans dominates her again. 80 ftp swing. So guessing better to leave money on table just like golf cause its a crapshoot.

  • mistermoneybags

Some of these results are pretty crazy. I don’t know that there is any common thread, but the one thing I’ve gathered is that factoring in layoff and a switch of surface is fundamental to better understanding the likely performance and perhaps even motivation of some of these players. I understand anyone can technically beat anybody else on the day, but how else to explain Angelique Kerber getting completely boat-raced as a -350 or whatever she was favorite? Too much basking in the afterglow of Wimbledon I guess, but geez…..

Its about ranking. Its about who wants it more. What vegas cant see is weather of course, how it effects a players rythem. And it cant really see a player needs 2 ranking pts agaist a top player that has his/her seed set for the Open. We Need to dig deep or find a tennis pundit, that knows who needs what ranking wise. That is where an edge might be

Today will be tough, no clear favorites, so many option between 6k and 9k…I like Nadal, feel like he is underpriced at 9.300, Shapovalov, Khachanov…..pricing is completely off today, did they change the algorithm or something?

  • sportsnut11

SKI I I was thinking the same thing. I hope Khachanov goes underowned as well as a few other people at the bottom because they can fit in Nadal Djoker and a few others with no problem.

  • LegiaWwa

Two of the 4 cheapest players are +125 and +140. Something is weird or maybe they rushed it.

  • skleni

    Good luck all! 100 % Nadal…

  • Cal_Naughton_Jr

My dog today is Cornet GL all!

  • LegiaWwa

Nadal 78% and Novak 67% in the Ace

  • Kuchhhh86

Nadal 96% in my 23 players Double Up

  • sportsnut11

17% on Khacanov wow thought he would garner a little more love from everybody. I will take it. Facing Isner is a crap shoot.

Khachanov’s so cheap it doesn’t really matter, but it seems to me Isner’s opponents tend to score a little low for a given result. Even if it goes well you keep winning sets 7-6 and don’t get any break bonuses.

  • sportsnut11

Fair enough. But with how shitty the pricing is on these guys you need to find variance along with possible to leave money on the table to be different. Most people will go Djoker and Nadal with perhaps Anderson. They just really shit on the pricing today not that I care haha.

  • nyknick

went with tiafoe and khacanov as my low priced guys. fingers crossed

  • Yeoman

Trying an experiment today (and maybe the next few days): One lineup is on gut feel on first look at the slate, with no research—the second’s objective, based on odds and some rating-system projections. I’ve been wondering if the research is buying me anything at all, other than putting me on the chalk every day.

    Djokovic 70%….seems excessive.

I like the idea Yeoman. I have found all sports to be odd when making lineups. I have had times where I spend hours on a weekend and leading up to it for Soccer doing research and win shit. I have set a lineup for Soccer on the run while out with my toddler and won a GPP so who the hell knows haha. Seems like with Tennis the odds and and the way they price it at DK is off by alot. Hope to take advantage of this before they get someone in there who is just Tennis based and makes it more difficult pricing wise.

  • sportsnut11

    Keep it up Sloane.

  • sportsnut11

Someone care to explain to me WTF Tiafoe is doing in this tiebreaker?

  • Kuchhhh86

Just need Tifaoe to win 1 set and he will reach his value.

With soccer and basketball I’ve found that the best research is watching the games. There’s no substitute for it.

So I’m going into this with some expectation that a well-informed gut is the way to go here, too.

    Get it done tiafoe
