Daily fantasy Tennis is just like Nascar contests. You never know when a player is going to crash out and wreck your whole line up. But you know its going to happen….

You have to be perfect. In other sports there are at least slates that are low scoring and a normally mediocre score can win.

Here basically need 6-0 and most days all straight set wins. Craziness.

Wait to you have the pefect lu. But your sure bet lock to win withdraws without any warning. Happened to me 2wekks ago. Had first locked up if Azerenka won in St8s. $2500 in my pocket…She retired after winning the first set. I finished 88th…

  • OttawaCityMadman

Or better yet. Your top $ player withdraws afterlock. And draftkings comensates players who drafted her with a freeroll contest. BUT you don’t get invited! That one pissed me off a little. Lol

    Pouille just awful.

    Maybe tomorrow.

I think a full-tournament slate could work. If the pricing were right, it could be more interesting from the “perfect lineup” perspective. Yes, if salaries are loose, the winner would always have all 4 finalists. But if the pricing was tight enough, you’d be lucky to get two.

Of course, an early withdrawal would be even more titling, but I’d still give it a shot. The fact that DK is calling the current format “Single Match” makes me think they are considering a multiple-match format.

If you’ve played golf, you know that the cut provides an exciting mid-slate sweat. Could be the same in tennis at each round. Except that you’d only really need 6/6 in the early rounds. If it can be balanced, that is. Maybe I’m wrong and it can’t be well balanced.

I guess the other issue is the bracket nature of the tournament restricting viable lineup combinations. Not sure how much of a problem that would be.

Pretty sure the Greek is gonna cost me a Top 10 if not more. Like crushing and Tittyspa had 3 chances and instead blew the set and now match. Still gonna go like 430-440

I remember that – they never ended up giving you an entry? That blows. I think I won $4 in that free contest lol

When you have 29 matches, there are bound to be super high scores. Too big of a slate IMO

If you have a book lay some dough on Mladenovic opponent so you at least win something to hedge urself lol

If I had done, Mladenovic would win 7-5 0-6 6-4 with 23 double faults and I’d end up losing both bets.

  • Yeoman

Is there something wrong with high scores?

I for one am happy DK played a full slate. Few DFS things annoy me more than looking over the day’s schedule, picking out some spots I might want to attack and then finding out they’ve been left off the slate for no particular reason. Would people want three or four random NFL games left off each Sunday slate just to make it more manageable?

  • hcassidy

And late slate is over after Kuzmova getting completely dominated.

Same here, I was 330 before. If Tsits puts up a decent score, Im 400, with Fed and Edmonds to go. grr

No, they wouldn’t let me in the Tennis contest. I complained loud enough I got a ticket out of it. So going to use it for NFL, turn it into 20,000$ ;)

Yeah, that really helps me. (The flip side of it, that is—Mladenovic an 85.2 and less than 1% owned.) 363.55 plus Federer—that would be good on an ordinary day. Maybe top 50 today if I’m really really lucky, certainly not any better than that.

  • someclevername

I’m dead – Dzumhur with the gutshot & Kuzmova with the headshot lol.

this hailmary7777 guy maxed the drop shot 132 entries with the same lineup… how about that as a strategy with 29 matches and 58 players…?!?!… if svitolina wins he will certainly make some money though…

  • tristanwolf

kuznetsova working on the nice comeback at low % keep it up!

  • LegiaWwa

Boooo! My best 5 for 5 lineup has Kvitova.

    Whoops. I meant Svitolina, lol.

I just noticed that lineup—it’s two spots away from mine, and there’s nobody ahead of it with players still on court. Looks like top 10 if she wins.

If it had been Kvitova you might be winning one tonight.
