Tomorrow the tournaments in Washington (ATP and WTA, hard), Los Cabos (ATP, hard), Kitzbühel (ATP, clay) and San Jose (WTA, hard) get underway.
The week on dk starts with a 50k Line Painter (last week the contest on Monday was 40k, really excited to see DFS Tennis grow week by week).

    Good luck to you all!

Can’t decide between Vekic and Azarenka….

I went with Azarenka. Vekic has been struggling, although she’s been fighting!

Azarenka is an elite hard court player. She’s has the 9th highest hard court ELO rating in the WTA. Vekic is 43rd on the list. It doesn’t necessarily mean much, but Vekic has also been struggling.

Personally I like Edmund and Felix too. Very cheap

Medvedev also cheaper than I was thinking

Yes I like him as well but Tiafoe is from Maryland and is playing motivated. Right now I lean Medvedev, but I could see this being an upset pick.

Isner $8,100 on the main slate but $9,300 on the night slate oyyyyyyy. With how volatile Benoit has been Isner is a free square spot today and a must play. Most Isner games you are crossing your fingers he can get a service break or pulls out the tiebreak, but with how Benoit has been double faulting, Isner is going to have many break opportunities today. I wouldn’t play Benoit to be contrarian since there is a high probability he scores very low in a win and he of course will have his mental lapses. I’d just keep Isner off the lineup to play it contrarian and hope Benoit nicks a set and keeps it close.

I think thats a solid plan and I may do it as well. Fade Isner hoping he gets you 70 or less and go for a guy like Felix at 8k

I am biased since I love Vekic and cannot watch Azarenka with the TV sound on with her atrocious grunting. Vekic seems to still be bothered by her hip and it has thrown her serve off lately. If she can get her first serve in more often I think she has the better game. If you’re dropping below 7K I like Vekic, Brengle (adjusted to hard court v. Anisimova who hasn’t played since bad Wimbeldon loss), and Tiafoe (DC boy who will get up for his match) in that order. And personally, I think Anisimova has the best opportunity to put up the best score at low ownership today but taking some risk with Brengle too.

Looking at stats, Felix double faults a lot. Fading Isner for him is basically trading Aces for double faults. I think I may just eat the chalk and leave money on the table.

MU do you like Edmund at all against Tsonga? 6900, he’s my favourite play below 7k by a mile.

  • dw12290

I like my lineup today but leaving $1,800 on the table not so much. Probably going with Tiafoe, Aliassime and Vekic in 1 lineup and then going with a balanced lineup in another on DK. I also like Edmund to beat Tsonga today but that’s just a gut feeling and nothing more.

FD pricing being different the lowest I’m paying is $13 for Vekic and Edmund.

    Good luck everyone!!

  • Jenesaisblah

I have Tsonga in both my lineups. He’s been great for me lately. Gotta keep him rolling.

  • MUwarriors91

I like Tsonga. Both guys aren’t at the top of their games but I like J-Willy’s service game to help pull it out.

I’d recommend looking at the McHale/McNally and Giorgi/Peterson tossups and get them in over Isner to be a bit different. Hopefully you get the right combo and they win in straight sets. I’m all in on Isner but in the 5K to first contest a few fades on Isner is warranted just in case.

I think I’m going to fade Medvedev/Tiafoe and Azarenka/Vekic and hope they go the distance. Tiafoe has home court advantage and is playing inspired Tennis this week. Azarenka and Vekic have very similar stats when it comes to serving issues and break point opportunities.

Looking at the toss ups, I see both going 3 sets. However, I’d lean Peterson and McHale but i’m avoiding them today.

When I find myself in that position I fade the match entirely.

Raonic 82% and Isner 71% wow. Talk about good pricing….

Gojo got to play Rublev who came straight from Hamburg and then De Minaur who just had a long run last week. Now he gets a rested Raonic. It should be like 6-2 6-2

    Come on Giorgi.. goodness

These Collins implosions are spectacular—I saw one in Cincinnati last year. When the wheels start to come off her opponent just needs to get out of the way and let it happen. She can go 15-20 minutes without winning a point.

  • elmore0631

Zheng wins 6-2 6-0 and gets less pts than Giorgi

  • elmore0631

Edmunds with the break this one will go 3 sets.

The scoring is bugged she should have 15 more points, but she’s only getting credit for 6 games won instead of 12. I’m guessing the match went by so fast with Collins it only seemed like 6 games for any normal match

Ok that makes more sense. I didn’t look into it too much

For anyone playing the late slate, Kyrgios is dealing with Knee tendonitis. He has been playing through it and winning though. That being said Nishioka is 6k and once again provides some value for that slate. On the flip side, Kyrgios may be low owned because of the Q tag and note saying that he has tendonitis.

Scores are wrong at both sites; Zheng’s been given her bonuses but not her six game wins for the second set. Some other players are also missing games.

  • elmore0631

Tsonga the big ownership going to lose.
