Tomorrow the tournaments in Washington (ATP and WTA, hard), Los Cabos (ATP, hard), Kitzbühel (ATP, clay) and San Jose (WTA, hard) get underway.
The week on dk starts with a 50k Line Painter (last week the contest on Monday was 40k, really excited to see DFS Tennis grow week by week).

    Good luck to you all!

Gojowczyk’s my only player under 10%; it would be a nice start to the day but I’m not holding my breath.

good start to slay his third dragon in a row. i shoulda put a couple bucks on him after the first two.

  • afcangelo

Damnit Lauren 3 break points and can’t finish. Really need her to beat Pegula and it’s not looking great. Still early but damn we needed that

I had him as he burnt me the last two days but didn’t go with it.. surprised Edmund was so high.

Could be worse… Could be heavy on Edmund who has completely not shown up today.

  • afcangelo

Well neither has Davis, I thought she would show up here, I’m gonna be sick. Especially with plenty of Gojo exposure

She had her chances just gotta hope she can connect and the luck is reversed next two sets.

  • JSteele

I’m expecting both of these early matches to go 3 sets.

  • JSteele

I just looked Gojo hasn’t been broken since his first service game against De Minaur.

He did get broken by Rublev a handful of times who is an elite returner. I think Edmund wins this in 3. I’m thinking something like a 6-4 6-4 line for set 2 and 3

  • afcangelo

Get it together Lauren, go get this game and let’s force a 3rd set. Make her pay for that double fault break

  • afcangelo

Goddamnit Lauren. 5 double faults now, 2 in the last game. She’s gonna screw around and end up dropping this set

  • gvn2fly1421

Ever wonder who will double fault the most on a day? Just asked me who I am heavy on… Sabalenka my latest with 3 double faults on two service games.

Sabalenka has a tendency to let it rip on her second serve. As a tennis strategy it seems to work OK but for DFS not so much.

  • JSteele

Lets not get too predictive with the double faults. We still have Benoit Paire and Donna Vekic on the slate!

  • elmore0631

    Goj looking good yet again

  • JSteele

Gojogod. He would likely have to face Medvedev in the next round. That would be 4 of the best hard court players in the ATP if he wins that one. The only explanation is he paid off Tomic to withdraw, then placed a pre-tournament wager on himself to win the entire thing and ridiculous odds (as well as Tomic) and then paid off each of the players to let him win.

I think we have a blacksox scandal going on.

  • tristanwolf

come on medvedev end this here please

so far everything is going good hope kalinskaya can take out mladenovic. have a good 3-0 so far.

  • Yeoman

I could have a good day, but I need Mladenovic to somehow come back and then I need Kyrgios to outscore Tsitsipas by at least 3.35.

I don’t think the first is going to happen.

  • JSteele

Looking ahead to next week the first round has quite a few coin flip matches. Its going to be interesting. That should leave lots of cheapies with a strong chance to win.

  • JSteele

Wow Sakkari saves 3 match points to give an outside of chance of extending this match

  • tristanwolf

need svitolina to close out, tsisipas and anisimova to win then i’ll be 6-0. probably not the nuts but keeping hope alive.
