Wimbledon is here and there is a $100K SLAM SERIES SPECIAL [$25K TO 1ST] on Monday on draftkings.
Make sure to take a look on those statistics for matches played on grass. There will be tons of aces.

Can Roger do it one more time?

Top two percentage plays lose, leaves things open, could still get a decent cash going 5/6 and a min cash with a 4/6 probably

Was a tough slate, glad you made it back. I don’t bet much but will add a bet in when I feel as confident as I did in that over.

I concur. Just have to find one good upset. With The pricing you can fit everyone else you could hope for. Thanks for the write ups man, great stuff!

I was so impressed with Serena, she smashed a much better player in Georges, if she brings that level it will be a cakewalk. I like her more than Barty.

I think Halep ends the Gauff fairytale in pretty convincing fashion. It was an absolute choke job by Hercog that she didn’t lose in straights last time.

Be surprised if the big DK tourneys fill up.

I agree with Halep, dunno if she’ll be on the optimal but she should roll in straights. I’m unsure of Serena, I’m really low on her right now which is always scary.

A strategy question for DK for you guys: So, for tomorrow, I am looking at Berrettini knowing he has no chance of winning, but hoping he can steal some games and maybe a set from Federer. Is that a viable strategy if someone is cheap? Or should you try and be looking at 6 people that can win without paying up for the top players?

I’m actually holding my own but is there any real strategy in tennis GPP roster construction? I just kinda go off of the odds but maybe I’m missing something

You can go 5/6 and still cash. I believe we get 2 or 3 upsets tomorrow so I’d be looking for that upset to put in your lineup and get a 6/6

Odds are probably the best way to start but don’t let that be the be all end all. Checking odds and looking for discrepancies in pricing could give you one play but going just on that I think would be a losing strategy long term. Surface is important, current form is also very important, and even recent h2h history. Once you learn the surfaces you’ll start to learn which stats matter more on that given surface and can dive deeper into statistics from each player and what to exactly look for.

Thank you. How often would you say you take an underdog against a chalky player to gain leverage? We do this like with pitchers in baseball, but is that a common strategy in Tennis DFS?

I haven’t seen it used alot in tennis this far but a prime example would have been steycova over bertens the other day. Bertens was over 45% owned and lost in straights. Over 45% of the field eliminated from a top cash and strycova ends up on the optimal lineup. If you look at tomorrow I think muchova would be a prime example of possibly using that strategy on fd. Pliskova could be 35% owned. You’re lineup is done if muchova wouldn’t hit though is the only problem. It’s an interesting strategy and something I have been looking at but haven’t generated enough data to see how successful it has been

Anyone like Berrettini, and Riske as value plays? Hard to ignore how good Riske has been on grass, and I saw an article about a coach she was working with for a strategy against Barty.

  • OttawaCityMadman

In poker I’ve never been a guy to play for the ‘bubble’. Take a risky all in, and set your self up for the win I say. That being said, I have two entries in the $150. I am going to double those entries in the $15 as well BUT here is my question. Should I change my underdog picks, to hedge, or just leave em, and hope to double dip? Any advice, I have never been in a contest over $20 before LoL. Little nervous, if you will…

I think Barty is as safe as you can get when it comes to taking a womens tennis player against a lower tier player. I think Riske has no chance at all only way she is going to get points is hitting winners on Barty and thats hard enough to do as it is with her skill set, but that is just my opinion anything can happen as we seen before in womens tennis.

Edit Damn looking like Riske is going to take down the 2nd set

  • skleni

Bautista-Agut looks outstanding this year on grass.

  • skleni

Wow, BigT44 going for the Djokovic upset.

5019 duplicates, 2802 unique lineups… those small slates not good.

  • me_mike84

damnit. i mistakenly selected both querrey and sandgren. i thought i had swapped out querrey already when i picked sandgren. stupid mental error

  • JH822547

At least it’s unlikely to be duplicated!

  • Cal_Naughton_Jr

Well Riske looking good so far did not expect that at all. Also Barty missing a lot of shots she usually hits with ease strange match.
