Back to the Masters – here are some fun facts:

For the past 8 year 2009-2016; the cut line has ranged from +1 to +6 and averaged +3.25. Last year (2016) had the highest cut of the 8 year period at +6. With the winds predicted at 20-25mph the first two days, we could be looking at a similar cut line.

Average score for the 8 years was 73.27 and 2016 was the highest average at 74.42 or more than a full stroke harder. I attribute some of this to the small field in 2016 as there were many more multiple winners on tour thus taking up some of the qualification spots plus there were a couple WDs from qualifiers including Furyk (wrist surgery).

Eagles – for the same 8 year period, there was an average of 32 eagles per year. In 2016 there were only 22 which was the 2nd lowest year of the 8 years. 2015 had the most in the period with 47 eagles.

Big numbers – despite the small field, 2016 still saw the most Triple Bogies or worse of the 8 year period with 25 of them. The average year has 18 Triples or worse.

Also I love Kaymer, I think him and Noren are the final 2 pairing.

If you guys were playing one milly maker LU, how much salary would you leave on the table? Jim? Bif? Jam?

    Thanks

If it’s just for a single bullet don’t worry about salary. Play who you want to play and who will be most enjoyable for you to follow.

For multi entry I’ll be mostly between 49500-49800 with some getting to 50000.

They will get very close. This is their 3rd-4th week? They’ll get close to 95%. All those sharks will be pouring in the next 2 days.

Nope, not close…the first week it was well known that there would be overlay and it ended up 20k short…yes it’s the Masters BUT they would need a good 500+ people to max enter to get them close and I don’t see that happening…put it this way, week one approx 50k entries, week two 38k, so far 16k this week, that’s slightly over 100k for three separate contest weeks. I hope it fills for there sake but….

Well, yes clearly that was intentional but it’s the 2 strokes the next day for the score card that seals the deal? If I was so smart and betting on the other girl I would wait and see if I could get the max penalty or DQ!?

I have sent an email to PGA.com, I wonder if it was ever read…Cmon, the story isnt that simple, but I agree, something should change.

Wonder what they would do if the same thing happened on Sunday not Saturday. Would they ask for the check and trophy back? think not

Given it’s the biggest golf tourney of the year and we’re all going heavy in GPPs I’d like to try something (if you’re willing just put at the bottom of your reply when you leave one). I think this could help others in here add/or take a player out. I’d be interested to see some common names.

    1. The “expensive” player you like most. I would say chalk, but that doesn’t necessarily mean expensive.
    2. The “sleeper” you like to be there on Sunday.
    3. You’re “fade”.

    1. Spieth.
    2. Kjeldsen.
    3. Sergio.

The only thing more proposterious then a fan calling in a penalty is that LPGA admitted that was the source.

Once the trophy is awarded, it is final – someone answered that question on golf channel yesterday. Of course a player could DQ themself afterward and the corrections would be made after the fact otherwise it’s Final upon completion of play and scorecards signed.

Regarding weekend golf: good luck getting a lot of people to draft LU Friday night/balls early Saturday.

Seems like the kind of thing I’d do casually (drunk) on a lark. Not something I’d take serious.

I’ve nailed my low price flyer the last 4 events with Cantlay, Harman (and Leishman who won but he was not a flyer by price), Kitayama and M Kim who finished 2nd, T13, T17 and T12.

For the Masters at 6500 or less, I can’t get away from Sean O’Hair as pivot from Soren Kjeldsen but the wind has me a little worried with O’Hair. I’ve seen him play three times and I remember a very high ball flight so may not hammer him but he’ll be on a few lineups. For regular tour players who have played here at least once before, he is going to be one of the lowest owned so there may be some added game theory value with him as well.

I am already cringing remembering how much I hate following the Masters on their app. I hope it’s better this year.

FanDuel is not adding Henley to the player pool this week. If already said, I apologize.

Yep, just ran across it in the app. A couple tourneys are up, $4 500k and a free 10k GPP.

I’ve been looking at O’Hair but not sure he has fully recovered from whatever his injury was (neck?).
