This site can be quite perplexing at times. Some people are saying you really need to focus your lineups around guys who perform well in the wind. Then you have people saying you want guys with the highest ball flight trajectories..

….. think about what we’re saying there.

Gotcha. I just wasn’t aware what the rules and such were pertaining to the “not scored” part of it. I had visions of Webb and RCB both falling in the lake or something hahaha taking their beloved scorecards with them

Lmao ran out of golf balls and went for a dive. Wouldn’t read too much into the par 3.

How the fuk do you shoot over par on that par 3 course ?? All the holes are like 75-100 yards. 🙄

I know. I would be mad at myself if I shot over par

Still working on my cash lineup (mostly playing double ups with it.) 14400 left gotta pick one from each group:
    Leishman, Sergio, Cantley
    Kisner, Grillo, Walker

I think I’m eliminating Cantley and Walker but a little stuck on the last four guys. Thoughts?

I guess Sergio only fits with Kisner and Leishman only with Grillo. So that narrows it to picking a duo.

Two different theories or different understandings of what is needed.

1 – high ball hitter to land softly on green as Course will be playing longer as it is soft but greens won’t be as soft

2 – good wind player (and/or low ball hitter) as forecast is/was windy.

    Takeaway
At Augusta the trees are pretty mature/tall and the wind is more swirly or gusty than steady so a good wind player isn’t necessarily a low ball hitter – it is someone who understands the conditions and can read the wind/gusts better than others.

Also, it would be foolish to think that Rory couldn’t hit a low shot or that Rickie couldn’t hit a high if he needed to – their execution may not be as good as the other person but still they will most likely attempt to hit the right shot needed

BIF, what are your thoughts on Molinari? He seems to have lost a lot of traction and is a dog to almost everyone (inc. spieth) on the sportsbook

Shared my thoughts last night – I don’t really like him – he is more of a dry fast course expert – almost all his wins have been in those conditions. Augusta will be long for him relative to half the field. I think he finishes 25th-35th as he won’t be able to attack the par 5’s as aggressively.

Alright it’s Wednesday fellas, let’s break out the hot takes! We aren’t gonna move the needle on any ownership plays so let’s hear everyone’s winner, sleeper and fade.

    Winner- DJ
    Sleeper- Webb
    Fade- Casey

    Winner – Rose
    Sleeper – Cam Smith
Fade – Rory (Outside top 10)

  • BIF

    Winner – Rose

    Sleeper – Bubba/Cam

Super Sleeper – Hovland, I’m only going to have him on 2-3 LUs of 60 (and the only Am/Rookie I’ll play) as there is lots of risk but he has the kind of game to sneak in for a Top 25-30 and is buddies with Rickie who has helped him here.

Fade (make cut but no payoff value) – DJ, I just don’t think this place is the perfect fit for him unless he goes -13 or better on Par 5’s. He is not the best tight lies chipper and his putting is still a little iffy.

Chalky (10+%) Fades – Kisner and Si Woo

  • tristanwolf

    Winner -phil
    Sleeper- howell
    Fade-speith

I just plugged him in my big stars and scrubs and figure he gets top Am honors!

    Oosty or Kuch?
    GPP milla maker

    Thoughts?

  • Pgram23

I’m shooting 1 bullet in the milly maker. Most expensive play is Fleetwood, but cheapest is Poulter. Hoping balance pays off

That’s a good sign as the guy who wins that thing always plays bad in the normal event so you should be good.

Feeling a Jason Day out-of-nowhere great performance.

  • keephustlincuz

Did finau break any bones in the par 3?

How beginner friendly is golf dsf? This is my first golf season and between this forum and variouse other sides i have been having fun.

Golf daily fantasy is extremely beginner friendly. For the sports offered on DK, I would categorize them into the following buckets:

    Beginner Friendly: Golf, Nascar, MMA.
Not Beginner Friendly: MLB, NBA, NHL, SOC

(Don’t know about Tennis or LoL).

The reason I listed the 3 for beginner friendly, is that you have a decent chance of winning big if you just choose a lineup that uses almost all of the money with a general mix of 1 stud, 4 midrange, and 1 longish shot.

For the non-beginner friendly games, you have absolutely no shot at winning big if you aren’t extremely comfortable with stacking correlated players, and staying up to date on last minute injuries so that you can roster a near min-priced player who wasn’t expected to play.
