    Letting it fly

Winner : Patrick Reed. In his past 3 Masters, Reed has 10 of 12 rounds under par. I like playing guys who don’t screw up around the greens. Much better than the pure ball striker who misses the par saving 6 footer ad nauseum.

Fade : Conners. See second sentence above.

Sleeper : I think it’ll be one of the veteran Aussies and I’ll side with lfn1992 that it’s Adam Scott.

FWIW I talked with a sportsbook manager at Circa last weekend and he told me sharp money was on Reed and Dechambeau for top 10 finishes and individual 1st round matchups.

    Good Luck to all.

He’s actually gained strokes off the tee in 4 of his last 5 measured events

Yup and Augusta is a big ballpark – wide fairways, non-existent rough and lots of room to miss on most holes. Spieth also just won on one of the tougher driving accuracy courses on tour with a decent amount of wind over the 4 days. These corridors at Augusta are going to look like wide football fields after last week in San Antonio.

anyone got a link to ownership projections?

If I wanted to now the answer to this, I would click on BIF’s name, look at his posts for the week and you will get your answers as a day or 2 ago.

just an FYI (because this is about the only type of thing BIF asks for and many will help BIF)

I considered Kisner but went with Mr. Kim because of his superior play around and on the greens. Plus Kisner verbally admitted he needs the course to play hard and fast to have a chance which I don’t think it will hold up past Thursday.

I wanted to take a flyer on the US Amateur champ Tyler Strafaci until I saw he was paired with DJ and Westwood. Talk about intimidation and the stage being too big for the poor guy. I see that coming from a mile away.

US Am champ always plays with defending Master Champ and a random top pro – sometimes that is a good thing; still remember Kuchar playing well as reigning US Am champ with Tiger in 1998

I think all are behind a paywall now but there have been a few posts on here about the Top 10 projected and the occasional other guy over the last 4-5 pages of posts.

There will be PLENTY of beat the forum contests up for this tourney!

What is the $ amount per contest that people like to see the most? $50, $20, $10, $5, $3, $2? Or just go with a mix of all of the above?

I was almost excited by this post. I was interested in who would take what.

Cantlay not getting much buzz in here.

Had no idea. These little details sometimes pass me by. Thanks for the info.

Textron is the largest employer in Augusta, GA. Along with Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft and Bell helicopters, one of their major products are EZ Go Golf Carts. One of their main competitors in the golf car market Club Car is also based out of Augusta.

Feels cold and dark and the woods are full of terror. Less than 14 hours to go and we still need 15 more.

FWIW, the NBA and NHL forums are ghost-land. And I don’t think it’s because everyone has gone to MLB. Think some folks have just moved on.

Guys, I was gonna keep it to myself but what the hay. Every year for the masters I ALWAYS make sure to take a read of a guy by the name of Rich Hunt. He does some pretty good analysis on who is likely to win the masters every year. And man I think he does a great job at it. Check out the article. “The 23 players who can win the Masters”

I do like his article. It’s funny how he filters out people relatively easily who have won at the Masters before or have previously contended.

The only other thing I don’t like about it is how he doesn’t really filter for recent form other than “missed the cut at the event before”. Of his top 10 picks I’m not playing three of them (Rory, Morikawa, Hovland).

It’s a good read though he knows his stuff.

I wish you would have kept it to yourself. I’m just more confused now. Not changing anything though.
