PSA: MATS can not putt, never could, never will…. that is all

He gains a lot of strokes everywhere else, though. Hard to predict when his putting will come alive, like it did for several golfers last week.

    In before putting doesn’t matter.

If the games are already drying up, I won’t be able to get in by tomorrow, so I may miss this week entirely – bah.

so, is Lehman worth a dart?. He shot 69, 66, 69 in the senior event here last year. Does he still have the length as this course is longer than when he played it? His driving average is 270 on the Champions tour. Knows the course better than anyone. All of his stats on the senior tour are stellar…hmmm

I would worry a little bit with all of the added length done in the redesign since the senior tour played here and the insane amount of rain over the last week that distance off the tee will be a big factor to success this week.

That being said he is cheap and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him make the cut but I don’t see him contending.

I’ll bet he put in cheat codes.
up up down down left right left right
(or at least knows exactly where to hit it on the fairways – to him it will seem obvious)

Find the correct sprinkler head in the fairway, and your ball drops down the tunnel to the green. That’s the only way these old guys get a shot at eagle.

FYI, the Monday qualifier was held at a different course in the Twin Cities so looking at those courses doesn’t mean much.

    Thanks for the info!

Is it true that Brooks showed up to the course 15 minutes before his Sunday tee time at the Traveler’s? That sounds like DGAF to me.

Yeah just to piggy back the MQ’s are always held at another local course and never on the event course.

The story floating around was there was a big group forming near the range thinking he would be coming to warm up etc. and they wanted to get a look possibly get autographs etc. He showed up about 10-15 minutes before tee time, hit 5 balls and walked to the first tee. He was way out of contention at that point but it’s still a boss move.

Love the NES GIF’s. My cousin gave me one of those systems with thousands of programmed games a few months back. My NES Golf (1984) game is reaching elite levels (I think?). Nailed down my first 52 (-22) last week; also have a 53 and numerous 54’s.

Now I have the Contra theme song stuck in my head. Epic

Having a hard time deciding on my last spot this week…Teddy Potts, Gooooooch, Denny Mcarthy, and Party Marty, Spaun, or N. Taylor….this should be a really epic fail this week if I’m deciding on these turds in my punchbowl.

I can’t stop watching this GIF.

Do we think redman pushes 15% this week? He was 2% last week but I could see it since he’s only $7200 and has finished 18th and 2nd in his only two tournaments. He was the ultimate sleeper last week but I am afraid he will be chalk this week. Still throwing him in there and because I like him more than other guys at that price point.

If that’s true, it might be a record for 1-day minimum total time spent at a golf course while playing in a PGA event. He and his playing partner were done at least 4 holes ahead of the group behind them. Might have been more, but I only noticed after they were done. I wondered if R. Knox really wanted to play that fast, or if he was intimidated into doing it.

Any course correlations jumping out to anyone this week? Or taking the more blanket approach with basic stats?

  • kps3205s

    +

    and a single

    Could be an interesting core.

Disclaimer: To my Canadian brethren, I know the flag should be red but the +GIF only gave me this option.

i think he’s gonna be massive chalk. they have him around 14% now but i bet goes up to 20 or more. dk made him too cheap.
