The arbitrary “yay 100” DK point cutoff is that while the winning total for a lineup varies by tournament, you very rarely will find yourself saying “man, this 600 point lineup didn’t cash”. So even players who get close are yay great.

what do you think about splitting out positional points vs normal scoring points? Some times first place does not have the most non positional points, off the top of my head I think Brooks koepka outscored tiger at the masters. Not sure of the overall percentage though, may have been a fluke

So how often does Gamez pop up is the real question.

Whoa – I would have expected 0 for sure, but I have 2 out of 37 (who knows if there were more back prior to where my data starts).

This is the perfect week for a stars and scrubs build.

No Brooks for me, but I love Day and Bryson. Thinking of also fading Mats at 25% ownership in what should be a birdie fest where the winner leads in SG: Putting.

Lots to love in the 7700-under range starting with Lucas Glover.

I track each round, no position points, and then the total for the tournament and that adds the position in.
So I could try and redo this with only positional points – although I suspect 100 would need to be downgraded, not sure how much – presumably something like 70-80.
Several of my algos output stuff ignoring positional points and only calc based on stats.

I’m expecting both Day and Bryson to pop really soon, so I guess I’m going stars/scrubs this week. Hughes is pretty much a must play for me as well.

I like those 2 at the top as well, but I’m also likely gonna be on Niemann again and possibly Hovland. I’ve got a couple guys I like down low, but it’s the 7K-7700 range that is really tough for me. There are a few guys with potential but they are such inconsistent golfers that it is hard to trust any of them

I use non positional points as my guide. I couldn’t track the streak and bogfree until I added the calculation of each rounds points eag*8 + bir*3 …… then I took the DKpts – calculated pts and thats the bonus pts.
you can eliminate your 1/2 round birdie streak mistakes.

When are the instructions for remote access to your DB being published?

If it costs less than $3 a month, I’ll officially cave and pay for a DFS resource

Two weeks ago, I played Wolff. He eventually MDF, but I still had a great result with $444 in, $1.2K out. Last week, I played Wolff again. He missed the cut, but all my other guys did really well. $444 in, $1K out.

This week, I’m playing Wolff again. That guy owes me a lot of money!

  • Dunzor

Alright, I think I’ve got my lineup tentatively locked for the week. In its current iteration I have nobody in the 8Ks, instead I went three guys at 9K+, two in the 7Ks, and one in the 6Ks.

In the end I took Redman out of my lineup as I think I hit the jackpot on him last week and his mind will probably be looking forward to the Open and setting up some more of his schedule with his temporary status. With the huge spike in ownership he’s getting this week I’ve decided to pivot elsewhere.

I had a bit more focus on really good drivers of the golf ball for most of my lineup this week, whereas that was barely a consideration the last couple of weeks. Anybody with access to ownership projections care to share a couple of the chalkiest plays below 8K?

    I have 3 in the 9Ks and 3 in the 7Ks.

I hit the same jackpot last week with Redman at 3.66% in the $444 contest, and I wanted to fade him this week, but I don’t like anyone else in that range. He fits really nicely in my lineup, too, as I have $0 left. I could downgrade from Finau to Im, but then again at $7.3K-$7.4K I don’t like anyone else except for Wolff, who’s already in my lineup. Redman’s ownership will probably be high, but he’s the finest option in his price range in my opinion.

What site do you use? On DK, Hovland is a no brainer compared to the other choices, but he’s also far more expensive.

The question I have is, how is this course going to be any sort of prep for the Open? There doesn’t seem to be anything British-y or links-y about the course as far as I can tell. If anything it’s the sort of grip-and-rip PGA run-of-the-mill course.

Tapio is a nice play – was eyeing him as well – but Old Man Bjorn is going to be in my player pool for the second straight week

My take is that they are adjusting to the time and weather difference and enjoying some home cooking

I’m skipping all the 100 plus with Hatton my top play overall and Kaymer my top HM guy @ 95k

If the point system is similar as DK, I would go with Hovland. It should be a birdie fest like last week, so there’s no reason he shouldn’t thrive! (maybe someone who knows the course could tell me otherwise and I would reconsider)

I’ve got Morikawa and Redman filling my Yahoo Cup bottom with Mats and Day chalking it up top

That is an interesting fact I didn’t know. I also went to Winona State at the exact same time Troy Merritt was there and never knew that.

I didn’t realize he went to Winona St either as I knew he went to Boise State because he and Graham Delaet have both tweeted about the Broncos. I guess Merritt transferred to BSU after two years at Winona St.
