    GL everyone!

From @futureoffantasy: One source showing that Zack Sucher may have snuck into the field which means we have a possible last-minute WD that hasn’t shown up on the leaderboard yet. Any guesses?

  • Dunzor

Finau and Howell each only like 10% owned, that’s shocking

CHIII at like 10% owned is an absolute stunner. I am over 50%

Buhgawd King that sounds like Zack Sucher’s music!

Chalmers had on “O” by his name on DK, but RG was reporting that he is expected to play. Maybe him??

I see a lot of talk about OWGR. I know weve got some new people who probably aren’t familiar with how those are calculated but it’s a pretty ridiculous formula where theoretically a very rich guy could literally buy his way into the world rankings without the requisite skill.

More importantly OWGR has not proven to be statistically significant in any of the studies I’ve seen on DFS scoring success.

Not something I would look closely at for DFS IMO.

A few monkey bets just popped up for guys with 24.5 fantasy points again. Sabbs/Chez

How could a rich guy buy a spot on the OWGR?

There are ways to inflate one’s OWGR, but “a very rich guy literally buying his way into” them is not one of them.

EDIT: It looks like Mark Anderson WD. Carry on…

Four chalk (Wolff, Scheffler, Harman, VTaylor) and two differentiators (Lashley, Na) for me. I swapped out Lashley for Noren on FD. Good luck fellows.

Then explain to me why Bill Gates is always in the top ten and yet we never see him winning events.

  • Dunzor

Also last years winner and guy who’s 8/9 cuts in the wrap around season is only 5% owned…too many people still bitter about last weeks MC but even that was on the number so he didn’t play bad. I loaded up on him at a stupid low price of 7200

I like your swap; I am big on Noren this week

Looks like he took Mark Anderson’s spot 9:20 at NT paired with Whaley. Condolences to Anderson owners.

“very rich guy buying his way…” 🙄 …..oh I so badly want to jump in this conversation but the beach is calling me….

  • smallANDflaccid

You have to admit, the top guys on the OWGR are rich.
Similarly, buying cold medicine makes you sick.

The way the OWGR is composed gets pretty silly at the extremes. You could in theory create a tournament and invite highly skilled competition and terrible competition. Come In middle of the pack and boom. You’re ranked

There are some articles out there that detail this subject.

But bottom line is that no one to my knowledge is using OWGR as a successful dfs predictor

So in what tournament is that currently being done? Lots of things can be done “in theory”.

Imagine a BIF/Squid final round pairing at the first annual mtdurham invitational. I’d watch.

Every year I forget how terrible tournaments are with limited shot tracker.

Once it gets going the scoring comes thick and fast with action on three courses so I’m cool with it as a one-off.

Triangle man is dialled in btw.
