I’m not looking at tee times or course this week. I hope everyone coalesces randomly around some weather draw that ceases to emerge.

Also not using course history or recent form.

Dance with the ones that brought me here.

    Stop the press

    Who is that?

We need to talk about five-figure Sungjae Im. I like him, but at that price point?

I am sure they are. His price is attractive for this tournament.

2 years ago, he was a big favorite and MC. I was burned bad with phil leaving me a ton of 5/6’s and bubbling with low cashes. Last year, I opted to leave him out and he gets an amazing second place. Which Phil will show up? I have 0 Phil this week.

I blame squid for my many posts to come this week. he seems worried this forum is dead and needs life.

    So cash vs gpp LU’s
I dont really understand it so someone chime in if they think its different.
OWNERSHIP – to me is the basis of cash play. You got to go with the crowd picking the high owned golfers. Any LU with a golfer under 2% is not a cash play. Picking the low and mid range salaries, finding the guy that is mispriced lower than what he should be, is a lock pick. Those guys are always several % points owned more than the players around them.

My lock low salary guy is Mr. Bill Haas. @ 6700 he is a past champion on these courses, Has shown some signs of “game” in his last half dozen and Its a new year.

I am not using the “KID” but I like his chances here to make the cut. Akshay Bhatia @ 6000. He comes with a bunch of hoopla, played in several events so far and battled to find a place on the weekend. He has not yet made a cut but I think adding in an amateur to the group will give him a bit more perspective that he can play this game at a high level. I would hope that the atmosphere of a pro-am seems familiar to his psyche.

Molinari – Dunzor is not playing him. Made a very good argument as to why. He was absolutely correct as to why you should leave him off your roster. I just cant seem to get over the fact that guy with the 11th highest salary is basicly tied with the best OWGR in the field.

Thanks. Also CH III should be a cash game lock as well. High ownership. Never missed a cut here. Etc.

    Abu Dhabi tonight

Winner: Sergio with something to prove
Fade: Fleetwood off the long break
    Sleeper: Adrian Otaegui

I agree and I will be over owned on him. Brendan Steele also, @7500 he is mid priced but brings great history

  • timusbr

Winner: IDK but I got CH3 as my most owned
Fade: I just dont like my boy Rickie at 11500. This is not a strong field, I dont like to fade anyone.
sleepers: Many but Bill Haas is my go to pick

  • hautalak

No Chucky 3 sticks for me after disappointing me last week. Spray and pray and I am using Phil and Molinari. One min guy I “like” who makes a lot of birdies but may or may not make the cut is Saunders…

  • Dewoc19

im having a hard time this week, plenty of guys that i like but 3 days worth of golf and 3 courses, just to many variables to me. seems like a week to only play 1 lineup but thats boring AF

I agree. CHIII is chalk man.

  • HunkerToe

If I played cash I would roster CHIII every single week, especially early in the season. But I only play GPPs so…

    Fade: CHIII
    Winner: Rickie! (I’m a sucker)
Sleeper: Kevin F. Na (Definitely a sucker)

Mostly I’m loading up on showdowns this week, picking guys with high birdie upside at the easier courses. Me and everybody else lol.

Still no MKF lines posted yet…starting to wonder if they are gonna offer stuff with the different courses or if they are gonna wait until sunday when everyone is on the same course. My assumption was that they just wouldn’t match up any head to heads of guys on different courses, but I’m guessing that their over/unders won’t be very sharp given how easy some of these courses are compared to the last couple events.

Lines are up now and looks like money to be made. The more or less lines look pretty soft with The fantasy points an easy over for good golfers on the easy courses

I will still have a lot of him because there just aren’t that many other high price options that I feel bad about losing out on

I think they removed the first batch of props and tightened them up. I saw Rickie at o/u 69.5 total strokes, now he’s at 67.5.

  • qatman

Has anyone heard anything regarding Kevin Na’s health status? I have him penciled in to my single lineup but might swap out.

I’m hoping for some wildly inaccurate MKF lines since they are playing on three courses. Hoping to be able to load up on overs in fantasy scoring on La Quinta & the Nicklaus course

Looks like they are having a difficult time getting the contests right. Some of the ones that didn’t make any sense seem to now have been taken off. That’s a little concerning. I think I’m going to wait a bit before I deposit money into this. Maybe I’ll start in March for the Players.

    Fade: CH III
    Sleeper: Hadley

Damn just logged in, the early lines sound like they were off. Will take a look and post thoughts this afternoon.

No worries, it didn’t let you submit and lock in at those amounts. At least not for me.

There’s still a few leverage spots for sure. CHIII isn’t going to shoot -5 on the stadium course, and some guys on the Nicklaus course are o/u 1.5 bogeys or worse which I think is a clear over bet.

Cool, yea that over 67.5 on CHIII is looking nice and I’m thinking Horschel picks up two bogies for sure. Kisner is also at 67.5 on the Stadium course, thinking over on that too.

DFS this week I’m rolling the Presidents snub team of Kisner/Phil and going back to my boy Scotty S. Deciding between Tringale/Varner/Norlander for the final spot. Norlander is probably the best GPP play since the other two are more recognizable names but Norlander played well last week and Tringale has had a long layoff.

The fantasy point ones are definitely looking good. FYI the scoring is different here and they don’t subtract points for bogies and worse. So 5 birds x 3 + 11 pars + 2 bogies = 26 points total. Most guys are currently at 25.5, seems like the overs would be good if you think they get at least 5 birds.

I’m playing with the $5 they give you.

I have Finau and Fowler on both sides of the 2/2 better than 25.5. They aren’t together anymore and both are at 26.5 now. I also have Phil/Finau/Im needing to combine for 18 birdie or better. It started at 17, but by the time I hit enter it was cancelled and they raised it by 1.
