As long as I do better than last week, I’ll be happy. Things looked so good Thursday night…then everyone I played took turns stinking up the joint the next 3 days.

I had 200 in entries and brought back $820. Nice yes? …… but at 6:00 Saturday I was returning $7750. Always on Saturday for me instead of Sundays.

  • CaptainSycamore

Same, Seabass and Lanto were looking good early. Unfortunately had none of the top 3 finishers. Turned into a lucky to break even week. On to Bermuda.

I put in about $40 in entries (but lots of contests with my 4 lineups). Got back a little over $10, and zero tickets. Oh well. I have 17 PGA milly tickets, so I’ll be in it for the Masters. (Also 5 $15 NASCAR tickets for ‘America’s Race’, whatever the heck that is.)

Yah you had a big lineup potentially – too bad it didn’t bring you back more !

This will make you feel better – Adam Long topped a 3W yesterday playing with Tiger & Phil 😂

Ughh…. I did the same thing at Harbor Town on Friday. I also went in the water on 14 WITHOUT the help of a bird. (The Kelly Kraft hole right?)

Yep it’s a tough one. I’m having a hard time coming up with who will be over 10k (Other than Zalatoris, who I expect to be like 11.2 or something). I assume Brendon Todd and maybe guys like Stenson and Ventura?

It’s going to be a rough week!

Oh boy I bet you he was thanking the Covid gods there were no spectators especially being matched up with Tiger and Phil.

I think some of these guys were playing on my local muni course last weekend. Woof!!

  • BrianVT

No idea what to do this week. Will probably just make one lineup. Any comp course ideas for Port Royal?

  • ValuableTrader

    The ZOZO and then this…ugh.

Probably won’t get too involved this week.

congrats on the 734Pt LU I just saw…..

That $4500 Milly for the Masters sure takes some balls, although I guess a good bit of them will be from tickets won. You have to finish 88th or better out of 500 to cash = top 17.6%. The $20 Milly requires being in the top 23% to cash.

  • Wander_Bread

Fun fact I saw on twitter.

Port Royal is the longest golf course in the country of Bermuda. However, it is the 2nd shortest of all courses that host a PGA tournament.

    I saw that too!

In that same thread, someone else mentioned that Bermuda has the highest concentration of golf courses per square mile in the entire world. There are a total of 9 courses on the Island.

I’ve played Port Royal a couple times – I actually thought the scores would be better (as the wind wasn’t a huge factor) than they were last year other than Todd -24 and Higgs -20; next best was a few guys at -18. With no wind, this course will be a Par 68 for these guys.

The course plays a little longer than the scorecard as a few holes have elevated greens and/or are significantly uphill including #9, 17 & 18.

Wind will/can and should play a factor as part of the course is right on the ocean.

Only 3 par fives but all are easily reachable – #2 and 17 can play a little tight off the tee (17 has water on left) and #7 is often into the wind as the course heads directly to the ocean.

16 is the signature par 3 and it’s a beauty and tough if the wind is blowing – left of the green is dead as it is cliff side to the ocean and the entrance to the green is narrow with the right and back green side being sloped. I remember it being calm one day last year and guys were throwing darts here which amazed me as I’ve played it in much tougher windier conditions.

Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a comp course – while there are similarities to Coco Beach in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas course; both of those are longer and Par 72’s.

  • cplatt87

Pricing is out. Todd at the top at 11.1. Zalatoris, Varner, Redman and Grillo also all over 10k.

Thanks for reminding me to go after Masters Milly Tickets.

I’ll be trying to win one if these satellites over the next 2 weeks. The lowest contest i can see is a $75 entry fee so I’ll be throwing just one lineup into the mix
