Malnati has had 2 great recent weeks. Sanderson Farms and Shriners.
Peter has been on my do not play list for years. Because for any time he has scored points and made the cut is far out-weighed by MC or dismal performances.
This week he is on the radar. Either an easy faded high salary or for me a pivot point for my core.
good luck to whatever you pick to do.
dont forget Sergio
you bet!!!
he and others fit perfect into a salary construction with the pivot point high 8k to low 9k
Winner: HV3

With the wind looking pretty wild Friday through the weekend, I think it behooves us to focus a lot on guys who play well on Coastal Courses, and Wind, especially Bermuda greens. Good comps I’ve found are RBC Heritage, Puerto Rico Open and Corales (Punta Cana), all Coastal, fairly short, where wind plays a part and the greens are Bermuda.
If you look back to last year, Brian Gay finished T3 with -18 and could have won the tourney if Todd hadn’t shot -9 on Sunday. Why do I bring up Brain Gay you ask?
Because if you check out the Josh Culp’s (FutureofFantasy) RBC Hertiage “Searching for a Specialst” Article on RG (now defunct, but all old SFAS Blogs are still archived here), you’ll see that Brian Gay was a Top 5 Specialist for RBC Heritage. He gains shots on the field on courses that are Coastal, Windy, Less than Driver off the Tee, and Bermuda.
Definitely gonna have some Brian Gay at 6300.
Others I like – List, Kraft, Willett (loves Wind), Schenk, Piercy, anyone from Australia (Percy, Jones, Baadley), Ireland (Famous Seamus), Grillo, Dufner, Garnett
Anyone can go low Thursday, but with steady winds 25 and up the rest of the weekend you want guys who keep the ball in play and hit greens (and putt well on Bermuda)
Best of Luck, if any new people need help finding information for research let me know, I’ll try to point you in the right direction.
or Rory
Ffs that was my favorite SD to enter was the 5 dollar caddie… now the pay out sucks. Heading to the 3 dollar birdie instead. Just did a quick look and entered the 5 dollar caddie for the afternoon rounds! Still the flatter payout, hopefully they won’t change this in the future 🤞🤞🤞
Yea I went from the $5 DtG to the $3 Birdie to play more LU’s for testing out ideas but mostly to avoid the 150 max computer LU builders as I just cannot cash in those
Anything other than full week I’m single entry only
Winner: Cink
Fade: HV3
Sleeper: Hossler
Winner: Russel Knox
fade: all the 10K salaries (a couple I think will do well but not win…so I opted to save salary to upgrade from sub 7K guys)
Sleepers: Isnt the whole field sleepers? I am going with Willett, Phat Pat, and LFN’s Barracuda Brice
My player pool is becoming too large, so many values and good choices. Going to trim down and take a stand, even though FOMO is kicking in.
I think it will be a very interesting tournament.
Part of my nine LU experiment this week
salary left on the table:
$6,700
$6,000
$3,300
$2,700
$2,400
$1,200
$100

I am going 55 in the minimax…at this moment the Happy Meal is my only tourney LU. I dont know if I want to go in any other Gpp or If I play 1 of my LU’s as a cash game. I am leaning to playing the H2H’s and double ups.
my 55 entries have a total of 24 golfers and if you ignore the 6 who are 1 offs for differentiation its a pretty tight player pool. Most are closer to the 50K available than the 2 I have with +1000 left.
15 of my 30 are one-offs
Two are 4/9 Varner and Cink and four are 3/9 including my two sleepers
I like Russel Knox in this as well, but he didn’t make the final cut due to his putting woes. Ballstriking though may see him through… bold call and good luck. I’m in the same range and chose Scott Piercy instead, I’m banking on him getting hot with the putter once a year lol 😂
Winner : HV3

VP of Westgate sports casino in Vegas called it the weakest field of the year. So what, it’s in Bermuda. What else could you ask for?

At this point I think I’m just gonna stay up after just finishing watching the race tonight lol

the left coast starting times get on my nerves. with the right side giving me a chance to sleep and wake up to the action, for an extremely pleasant coffee drinking, pop tart chewing morning.
Winner: Bermuda Tringale! No other reason than that.
Sleeper: Opponheim, is he good? I don’t know a lot of these guys.
Fade: Brendan Todd seems a bit pricey.
Winner: Norlander (Hopefully over Zalatoris)
