I looked at past events at Colonial.

pulled out a few names that could be considered hunches….
like a guy who lives in the area for a long time, probably has played this course a bunch in the last month. (I dont know but if they said the first event after covid19 was in my backyard, I would physically and mentally play it just a few times)
Next – picked a guy who I think is a hell of a golfer, young, big family, just moved before the stoppage and IMHO is playing for milk money.
Then – LOL goes with Danny Lee because its Texas and he’s 7200.

then I pick a couple of salaries guys to make pivot 1 and then use the all (well not all but 12) button for the last spot and a plethora of amazingly similar LU’s.

What type of methodology is this called?

    Ryan Palmer?

So based on what I’m seeing… ownership will be really spread out we think? Does anybody push to 30% or over? 25%?

It’s funny because I’ve been on both sides of the debate on whether to weigh course history heavily or lean towards stats/talent. I’m not so sure there’s a “right” answer here. With that being said I’m taking the “chalkier” course horses and mixing and matching the top. So far the “top” rotation has been Rahm, Webb, Brooks, and JT. I’m buying Spieth (likely ~ 40%) for me and Nick’s NahtotheNa (like it seems everybody is and that alone is scary).

Last question, will we get any strange WDs? You gotta think everybody “on the list” is juiced to get out there.

Saw on Twitter that Brian Harman has been renting somebody’s house on Colonial for the past few weeks and playing it a ton. Been playing with Kisner.

    Nick’s NahtotheNa

Ha-ha… It never gets old. I may give him a run in one of three lineups this week. It’s been a while. It wouldn’t be golf if I weren’t getting burned by Kevin Na.

No doubt! DK making us “want” him. They aren’t convinced he finishes this thing with that price.

for FGI, does anyone know that max currently scored up-to-date on your way to 130 dates for the crowns payout? I’m currently at 40/130 which I believe is on target but honestly I have lost track during the pandemic.

  • ifthethunder

Tony Finau’s name hasn’t come up. Probably because when we last saw him, he was missing a cut.

But he has a 2nd place his last time here.

Somebody Talk me off Victor Perez. I keep wanting to drop down.

Have they announced yet which players are going to have the one way microphone on them yet while playing?

Both of those reasons aren’t factoring into why I like Finau here. But he’s one of those guys who also doesn’t win good tournaments so he’s like more of a cashy type play with higher ceiling guys around him IMO. But he is a good course fit.

Im gonna fade finau so that means he will do well. He plays just average whenever I play him but generally goes off when I dont.

I’m not going there myself, but Noren should be around 1-2% and was legit not so long ago. Maybe I’m just living in the past!

I have played every single possible day and sit 40/130 as well so your good to go. Assuming every golf tournament on the schedule plays out as intended there will be 96 more days of golf (24 events x 4 rounds each). So anything sitting at 34 or higher still has a shot to hit the 130 day mark.

a guy under 7K isnt difficult here.

101 players in this event have at least 1 PGA win. Isnt that a remarkable number?????

I’m very curious about this myself. I’m most interested in other sports though because I’d love some miced NHL players and I guess NBA players. Problem is there would have to be a delay with beeps haha I need chirping!!!

On fan duel Na is 9.8k. That’s pretty expensive. Too rich for me.

I call that the “natural neural network” analysis. Often just as good as anything else.

I like Brooks here too especially if knee recovery helps. On Brooks’ history though, the one thing I noted was that it was mostly putting driven. He was good off the Tee, horrible in Approach all weekend, but putted lights out (more than half of his 15 strokes gained were in putting… and after a negative SG Putting 1st round).
