Anybody else trying to win one of those $4500 mega millionaire satellite tickets for the Masters next month?

Unless you are MME’ing, you are better off playing only the single and 3-max entries otherwise it’s a losing math problem.

I am in a disagreement with this. I cant say BiF is wrong but I think its OK to say I like Grape more than Cherry or Orange

Did well in Milly Ticks last week, up to 24 trying for 30. Starting to get excited about the Masters approaching!

Seabass is back down to 7,000. Seems like a value. Also like SWK and Adam Hadwin in this range.

Does anyone know of any site where you can filter the PGA Tour stats e.g. GIR, Driving Accuracy etc by time period?

For example, if I wanted to assess Dustin Johnson’s GIR stats, I can only see the whole of 2021 (inaccurate as he’s not played) or the whole of 2020 season through the Tour Championship.

I actually want to be able to cut these stats down in chunks as per above.

    Any thoughts?

Dustin Johnson and Tony Finau are both WD. DJ has COVID

Fantasy National has this capability, it’s a subscription service though.

DJ is out due to a positive Covid test.

Man, DJ and Finau out. Was thinking about playing both of them. JT Poston will be added soon; wonder what his price will be?

Is Brooks worth a damn this week? Kind of need to find some really low ownership plays in these tiny no-cut fields. Like we talked about last time, you can pretty much play every single player even in a max 20 contest, so there will definitely be some luckbox lineup combinations out there taking it all down.

  • timusbr

well This week is a bitch for LU construction.

What do you do when you like 7 top salaries and you really can only shoe horn in 2 at a time. If that doesnt hurt, I only picked a couple of low salaries I liked. Meaning the low salaries would end up being my biggest exposures.

Then if you go that route with 2 big salaries, you just eliminated most of the 7500 to 9500 salaries.
I tried a one stud approach and liked the LU but in my head I was comparing golfers and said this isnt gonna work.

Winner: Bibijo (I cant wait for all the appetizer commercials)
Rahm, DJ, JT, X, and Cantplay all to T10
Fade: The Euro guys escaping the low Purses of the European tour. who must have chartered a flight together. Double fade the ones who got a sponsor exemption to play.
Sleepers: me all morning Thursday and Friday.

I built about 40 LU’s, then realizing, I cannot wheel all the studs. So I whittled them down. Got 20 for the minimax(yes I must use some type of multiple entry. best min payout of dbl entry fee). All the low value single entry Gpp’s and the 3 ent max contests. 16 golfers with most about 50% exposure. [Not a typical Tim LU Build]

EDIT: Hmm a few surprise WD’s….That does require another look, and a substitution of DJ.
( IDK but if Tony and DJ down, its not far fetched Broogsey Ghepga follows along)

    Talent wise yes, prediction wise…Nope.
Playing off and on, could be lingering physical issues, but not all together the top stud you want to roster. I think he always needs a week after a layoff. You can say its not a major, but he does sometimes play well in small fields.

I am going with…I think he always needs a week after a layoff.

I’ve got Brooks on my radar for weekend showdown after he’s had a couple rounds to work the rust off, but I’m not touching him in 4 round contests.

He’s likely a good low owned GPP play though

You say you are in disagreement but didn’t say with what part or all ?

The only reasons I can see a small player liking a small field no-cut event is they simply want 6/6 and will ignore their -EV for the sake of having a 6/6; or else they are so desperate to have a 6/6 (after not having one/many) they think no-cuts are the bomb and their best chance at a win (nice cash).

I also love the challenge of building lineups and trying to get 6/6 – if you succeed at that, you have a huge edge over the usual 90-97% of lineups that don’t go 6/6 where this week you have zero edge as all are 6/6.

  • timusbr

LOL, nobody saying much on the thread so I accept your challenge.

    1) most of what you said was true whether your in a cut no cut event.
ex. Because in a cut event, I know if I have a chance after 36 holes and if I don’t there is always Showdown and Weekend Golf to play.
ex2 last week in a cut event I was almost Perfect at end of day 1. I had some cash and some not….granted I was cut to 4/6 and 5/6. My 4/6 beat out many as you might be able to tell from my 6th place happy meal. So again your example works voth for cut and no cut events.

    2) Age old question MME is statistically more profitable than single entry? Yes I would like to see the numbers you will bring to bear and shoot them down. I get less golfers, less diversity, more ownership on each golfer. but that doesnt change the probability of picking the right golfer and you need to do a better job than others. (Thats the same in a cut event also). Buying more lotto tickets does not give you a win. Playing different MME styles must have significant influence on any numbers you bring. Meaning MME tight core/player pools. Still can miss the boat. Spread out LU’s only using 5-10% of anyone means your going to lose most of your LU’s anyway but with hope on no matter who wins I got them.

I never suggest MME players should use the max entries…..thats ridiculous IMHO
I love MME because Its fun…
I use the number of LU’s I want (1 to 150) It depends on the event and the golfers. Rarely do I only make 1 LU and even more rarely do I use 150.

Maybe your edge is less LU’s My edge is knowledge of golf (LMAO …I have none compared to you Bif) and I would like to think MY KNOWLEDGE of DK, DFS, and Golf DFS helps me against the masses.

In no way is it because cut or no cut.

Now If you went back to Less golfers compared to 156, I can choose from among the 50 golfers below 6500 better than anyone else. And I can choose the journeyman golfer better than the masses. then I accept your cut vs no cut.

I dont think I am wrong in saying cut events are enjoyable. First round has people looking at Fri. Friday the complexion of the contest changes because its no longer 6 on 6. No cut events take away from our Thursday Friday complaining/crowing, laughing/crying but gives us better golfers, NAMES to follow, Goat or no Goat, actually watching more top golfers on TV.

I dont see much that changes my ability to cash or not cash, I dont see much that says my MME cant do just as well whether its cut or no cut.
I think its a choice of DO you want the Lime popsicle or the Cherry popsicle or the Orange and Grape… (Yes I got some popsicles by my Jewel Delivery)
