    And there goes Carlos Ortiz.

    Thanks for nothing, Carlos.

  • smallANDflaccid

    Same old smallandflaccid.
    Ran code.
    It spits this out:
[“Harry Higgs”, “Michael Gligic”, “”(player-popup #scott-harrington)Scott Harrington”:/players/scott-harrington-18507”, “Scottie Scheffler”, “Sebastian Cappelen”, “Vincent Whaley”]
I write next to it “(these look pretty sketchy)”
I modify the output to include something else as a modifier to how it picks crap.
    Turn it into this:
[“Bubba Watson”, “Bud Cauley”, “Cameron Champ”, “Jon Rahm”, “Scottie Scheffler”, “Sepp Straka”]

Straka makes poops all over the course.
At least Scott Harrington had a bad day. Oh well – will log it and see if it keeps doing well over the next few tournaments.

Nice birdie birdie finish for Maverick to get under par on the SC for the day

    My 3-max Hybrid lineup:

    Tony Finau R1: 70(-2)
    Sungjae Im R1: Thru 16: (-5)
    Maverick McNealy R1: 71(-1)
    Matthew NeSmith R1: 67(-5)
Ryan Palmer R1: 72(E) (But heck, it was on the South course.)
    and …
    frickin’ Justin Rose R1: Thru 16: (+3)

Best lineup is Reed, Im, Leishman, Horschel, An & Glover. I switched out Keegan for Glover at the last moment because I couldn’t stomach having An and Keegan on the same roster. Ugh

    Yep, what a jerk.

  • Baysman

Can’t believe how bad Rickie’s driving accuracy has been today. He’s all over the place on his drives.

  • RudyPujols

God damnit, Keegan! 40:1 first round lead bet either blown or reduced. Showdown lineup chasing a nice hit probably gonna end up no more than triple entry.

  • jleit13

Woodland with a huge eagle look on his last hole. If he can make the 8 foot putt he at least has a chance tomorrow. Also, would anyone be surprised if Keegan misses the cut tomorrow? It’s happened before ha.

  • sneaksox

And the Woodland express manages to pump its brakes enough to avoid total destruction. Gonna need a decent round tomorrow but +3 sure feels a lot better than +5.

Woodland eagles 18 wow. Just what I needed. My hope for a really good 6/6 is restored.

  • HunkerToe

And then Im with the bogey on 18 to ruin the BOFR

  • Dunzor

Woodland gets the eagle to finish at least and stay in striking distance

  • bigez952

I have not had a 6/6 on my main lineup since 2018 and I thought I had a shot this week. Thank God for Carlos Ortiz making sure I don’t have to worry about tomorrow.

  • BrianVT

Haha, Phil on the tent. Spraying and praying.

I managed to acquire those BOFR points from IM. May want to check with DK lol.

  • BrianVT

I’m actually winning most of my MKF, so I take back my earlier comments.

I have a question about this – and I’m not picking on you, BIF, but I’ve seen this groupthink about the Poa putting here elsewhere. What’s more likely – a really good ball-striker getting eliminated through 3-putts on Poa, or a Poa specialist/great Poa putter getting eliminated here due to average-to-good ball striking? Personally I think the punts are way off this week.

This is why JDay was such a good play (assuming he’s healthy) – he has both

Poa is a pretty easy surface to putt on early in the day and gets worse through the day due to its patchy growth which cause the bumpiness later in the day.

I’m not sure I would say it favours any one type of player over another but it can be a bit of an equalizer as good putters will also be missing normally makes me 4-8 footers. The bad putter are probably affected less provided they keep their misses on a male able range and not set up possible 3 putts.

Some players have more success on Poa and typically they are ones with a slightly more aggressive stroke (Like Spieth when he was Spieth) – Sneds has been another player who seems to have good success on Poa and people say it is because he has a pop-stroke and not a long follow through.

DK has Im at -6 WTF is going on. I’d be in 4th in the $1 showdown if he made par

Superstars92…I think my bullet will finish second. Not a bad 20x return. Thanks for your idea. Made for a fun afternoon!

Yep nice job! Hope that Im bogey on the last didn’t cost you too big since he had a BOFR going. But glad to see that you did well.

I think the overall edge should be reduced in R2 though as more and more people catch on that you shouldn’t really play SC golfers. Rory could be a super rare exception but it’s still not worth it at his price.

    Yea that’s big. That’s a BOFR too.

Glad to hear :) The player head to heads are crap shoots, but the OVER points/birdies/pars on the NC/UNDER points/pars/birdies on the SC strategy has been $ today.
