I have more Keegan than I’ve ever had.

Great ball striker but Keegan still has to putt, right ?

You make an excellent point – I am really leery of taking great ball strikers here and just assuming they will putt decently.

Wow, you are getting good at setting lines. I started relooking at the player pool. I got a little jazzed about….A Bif Challenge and take you up on 25 of top 32 salaries make the cut. Then I started falling in line with you. I have 13/32 in my player pool(of top 32). I do have 13 @ 7400 or less. But these are the players I am gambling could do OK to well at lower ownership. I hope BIF’s prediction is correct

Ha ha – I originally typed it as 75% then changed it to 80%; I just feel there is a ton of talent here at the top and middle of the salaries then it gets real bad relative to the top so it’s going to be pretty tough to bingo 3-4 punt/scrubs (when only 20-25% of them are making the cut) if you go 2-3 top salary stars.

My strategy is to keep playing J.B. Holmes until it pays off. Could be a few years.

He won for me last year at the Genesis almost a year ago at Riviera CC – did you miss that blessed event ?

It might not be that bad on Keegs
Poa is usually a bit of an equalizer as it’s a little bumpy for everyone especially as the day goes on if it is warm and/or humid and the Poa starts to grow (in patches)

Did you have him at Genesis? It actually woulda looked amazing in the MM until one windy Sunday afternoon last year too…

EDIT: Bif already posted, beat me to it.

Xander’s home course, but he’s historically been bad here. This course is beautiful though. I need to look at the wind before making any decisions though. Seaside course would cause a big issue if there’s a huge amount of wind.

One sportsbook you can bet a golfer to finish top 40. Great way to get some action but I wonder if they are decent bets or not?

Golfer #20 is +100. The top 19 are less than even money.

  • noddy

    Finau -170
    Smith -130
    Palmer -120

  • noddy

    Cauley +135
    Keegan +140
    Gooch +145

    Rose/Rickie/Molinari just feels right

I dont watch any of the podcasts or read the “experts”. Golf channel and here.

has anyone mentioned Pat Perez’s history at this course? As a teen he worked the driving range. His dad got him the job. His Dad was the official starter for all events for more than 20 years. I think he has played this course more times than anyone has a right too. I will take some extra chances on him.

I keep forgetting Rory is playing this week lol. So focused on Woods, Rose and Rahm…

    Let’s start it!

    WINNER – Woods
    FADE – Woodland
    SLEEPER – Burns

  • BrianVT

    Winner: Woodland
    Fade: Finau
Sleeper: Sticking with Trahan until he misses a cut

  • squidkill

Ok- So people wanted to play 60 year old Phil Mick the week before last and now Tiger Woods? I’m fairly new to this golf thing but it feels like 2010 all over again. They say to listen to Tigers press conference and he will say how he’s feeling- Is this true and when is this said presser?

  • squidkill

Also- If you go up top with one high priced guys – you will have to dip into the low 7’s and 6’s
Anyone that low actually fit the course as a striker or Bomber ? Gooch maybe?

  • squidkill

Sam Burns seems to sack the ball silly- He may be someone down there as well.

  • js5734

Big difference between phil and tiger right now – phil has been a shell of himself since pebble last year – tiger just won in japan in a packed field and dominated the presidents cup – if tiger is healthy which he seems to be is miles ahead of phil and could easily compete with The top salaries to win this thing

  • squidkill

Ok, and how’s his back? and when is the presser that says he “feels good”? people say to watch that.

  • Ndepompei

Any news this week on JDay? Love him unless we hear of some injury/sickness

He usually does not give this information out until he is on the 3rd or 4th hole.

  • js5734

I’d play Im instead of day this week for 100 more

#5 rule in DFS golf. Never choose Sam Burns on a bad course fit unless you want to have a 5/6 on day 2.

Golf channel often airs interviews from the course most of the day today throughout their various news shows and there is usually videos posted to the tour twitter and website with player quotes and interviews

Great tournament this week. Love the stacked field. So many different ways to go.
