Home building here may be different than it is there. For the most part inventory homes are built similarly as far as insulation. The only time you get into doing things different is when you build custom which then comes with building on your own land and not buying in a regular neighborhood per say.

Yah we don’t have too many inventory pre-built homes available; most builders will only build a couple of show homes (to show off their newer models and use as a sales tool for other new builds) and then have an inventory of vacant lots/land and from there it is usually built off one of their plans but you can make some customizations and/or upgrades in your contract – that is usually what happens inside the city limits. Outside the city where I live, you can build entirely custom and choose your own builder as you can find land/lots for sale that is not tied to a volume home builder.

On the DFS golf front – I’m not even sure where to start this week. I could make a case for playing about half the field so going to have to take some stands with fades.

Up here in the Northeast, my family have always had infrastructure (wood-burning stove, fireplace) to get through a few days without power and cold. My 80 year old mom and dad still have a generator and that wood-burning stove that keeps the place warm and dry. This isn’t just academic because they live in a fairly wooded area and there have been times the power has been out for weeks.

Where I live we have a wood-burning fireplace and a water heater with a proper tank (very important) so you get a few days of hot showers if the power goes out. This happened to us a few years ago and we were able to get by just fine. We also had natural gas to cook with, so it really ended up just being inconvenienced.

Now my thoughts go out to the folks in Texas, but I do wonder whether most homes down there have things like a fireplace.

Anyone know why Sung Kang pops here? Historically he is MC all over the place then finishes T10 here.

He is sixth in SG at this course over the last five years, making the cut every time 6500

Mark Immelman was saying on a podcast yesterday that Frittelli was stuck in Texas, practicing in an indoor studio.

Not sure I want a guy who is going to be showing up the day before the tourney!

I tend to be a sucker for DK’s achievements and I’m pursuing almost all of them. In my state I can’t play the college ones, but NBA, MLB, NHL, Nascar, NFL, PGA (of course) – I try to get all of those season-long ones. I even pursue soccer and tennis and MMA.

I just noticed that eSports achievements are back, and I’m wondering if it’s where I’m finally going to say “enough”. Without a 25k crowns achievement I’m not sure (though added up the number of total crowns you can “get” is 35k). During lockdown it was fun to have a sport to play and there was loads of time figuring out the best Jungler on a slate, but with baseball coming and a crowded spring schedule… I don’t know. I’m undecided.

There is enough sports going on without watching (from Korea) these little guys knocking down towers at 4 am.

I’m plugging him in and hoping for the best. His current form really couldn’t be worse though. So up until a couple years ago I used to read the “Searching for a Specialist” articles by Josh Culp on RG. Here is the link from his article two years ago from the Genesis (the most recent). You can see the areas specific to the Genesis where Kang pops. The course does set up very well for him (Long, driver-heavy course, fast greens, etc.)

Korean Baseball is easy money. Just play the Americans and one or two of the locals.

Yeah, I think you’re right. I reluctantly added Tennis and MMA to my list because they are “low footprint” achievements, MMA is only on weekends and Tennis is basically $1/week when it’s not a Major. CSGO, LoL, and even Madden are daily grind-like events which I would rather devote to NBA, NHL, and later MLB (and 4-day golf, since I’m so obsessed, is more like a daily for me as well).

I resisted doing EPL Soccer for a long time but reluctantly went for it, and was glad I did because I’ll be able to get the 17.5k achievement with ease either this month or March (even though I started late, after baseball if I recall). But I’ll be glad when I don’t have to do EPL anymore and can pivot to MLB.

Just for the fun of it I made a KFT Happy Meal resizeable. I think like many people here I’ll put in 1 entry and see how it does

For MKF guys…I just checked Saturday’s forecast and it looks much better (no worse than Thursday or Friday really). Thankfully I’m very light on my full tourney bets (betting on DJ and against everyone else). I actually just put in a couple 3/3’s with everyone over on FPs. It’s looking like a pretty ideal 4 days.

Everyone of the indians , colinist, and natives did it with just a wood stove. Its way easier today worst case you use the heater in your car or go to a warming center

Ahhh a rugged individualist. Takes after the Texas mayor that quit because people wanted help. Some truth to this point of view. Essentially I have felt it my responsibility to take care of myself since March of last year. but shouldnt family, neighbors, friends, church members, and even small town mayor’s help the general community they live in when hardship strikes. THATS the way of the West(america, world, any religion). If your so self sufficient, able to overcome so easily, I must ask. Have you extended the hand of friendship/help to anyone, anyone you dont know? maybe the first you did, but with the post I highly doubt the second.

that s the difference in hate mongering going on. everyone has truth to problems and complaints, I listen for, who is willing to help, who is problem solving (Actually having a plan, identifiable, actionable, not just an idea or flatulant wind). Who is spouting who’s to blame, who to fear, attacking others.

edit: forgive me and delete, I have been playing games for the last 10 days on the computer. I am sick of being inside, sick of the cold, sick of the news. Poker doesnt have anymore intrigue. I am a grandmaster in every ms game, finished picking my golf team, and like I said a week ago, I am just a miserable old fart. :)

For the guarantee to work, I can’t weight some selections over others.

LOL, there is never a guarantee to winning in gambling.

I think you lose your advantage in knowledge of sport/playing DFS, when you cannot weight your selections.

I might be 100%. This to me is a great week to cascade the top guys while locking in a couple cheapies to hopefully make the cut +

That’s kinda where I’m at with the top salaries but I won’t go as high as 100%; maybe 65% on 3-4 mid-range/punts.
