Sung Kang isn’t on my radar, but am considering punts of Sneds, Wes Bryan, and Furyk.

I roster or bet Wesley in some fashion just thinking he will pop… not a good course fit but he does have a good finish here?

    Anyone on Grillo this week?

Grillo had one of those mythical weeks we’ve all dreamed of last week… he actually gained stroke putting.

I’m leaving him out of my player pool because lighting doesn’t strike twice in Argentina.

  • depalma13

    Winner: Niemann
    Fade: McIllroy
    Sleeper: Ghim

He doesn’t get to play a whole lot, but had a run of good form in 2020 – went 4/4 on cuts. Only 2/5 in the 2021 season so far (starting with Safeway Open), but hoping his good form starts to pop up again. He seems to hit a lot of greens, which is important this week (plus the fact he showed he can compete here once at least). Hard not to take a stab at a few shares for $6100.

    Don’t do it.
There is enough sports going on without watching (from Korea) these little guys knocking down towers at 4 am.

I got addicted to LoL back when that was one of the only options. I get up early anyways.

This is exactly the time to go all in.

Perhaps you are right – I can see the headlines now.. “Golfer who shows up within 24 hours of his tee time wins it all!”

I think you lose your advantage in knowledge of sport/playing DFS, when you cannot weight your selections.

If I want to put more weight on a selection, I can use more than one block.

  • BlueEdwards

    Win bubba
    Fade DJ, Rahm, Rory, Xander
    Sleep Stuard

  • Herf

    Winner: Cantlay or Rahm
    Fade: DJ, Rory, Finau
Sleeper: V. Taylor (Not really a sleeper) or Bo. Hoag

    Good luck

Lots of Rory fade action in here. I guess if he can’t avoid big numbers at Phoenix, he will be hard pressed to avoid them here, maybe. But I’m not fading. I’m probably gonna go with a relatively tight scrub core and just take very few stands up top, as others have indicated they are leaning toward doing. Pricing is pretty accurate up top, and it feels like about 80% of the dudes from Hovland through DJ in pricing could win this thing by 3 strokes and kill you if you full fade.

Edit: Perhaps I’m unwittingly making the argument to just fade the $10k guys as many seem to be prepared to do and take your shots with the upper 8’s and 9’s and less scrubs. But I think starting with Xander and/or Cantlay and playing balanced is going to be popular and I just don’t see the point in an invitational with some really tolerable plays in the upper 6’s and lower 7’s and so much win equity up at the tip top.

  • klf_is_gonna_rock_ya

    Winner: viktor or Patrick
    Fade: everyone above $10k
    Sleeper: gooch

  • ifthethunder

I’m making my core cascades now (main core: swap everyone twice, secondary core: swap everyone once).

I like Adam Scott and Max Homa in the premium (but not quite top shelf) salary tier.

Trying to figure this out for MKF. Are y’all saying that an eagle doesn’t count as a birdie in the “more or less” birdie games?

  • klubba575

I believe the idea is that Eagles do count but because there more Eagles than normal for this tournment the MKF fantasy points lines and the birdie or better lines won’t match up as well as they normally would.

It’s birdie or better, so yes…an eagle counts as 1 just like a birdie. An eagle (5 points) counts more than a birdie (3 points) in the fantasy point contests.

It’s goes towards birdie, but I think what some people were hinting at before is that if you look at this course and see that, for example, someone easily shoots -4, you can’t assume that those were all birdies, and that an eagle or two would have made their score look a lot better.

Finally the Wifi came back, might go out before I get this typed in. Was able to set a few LU’s this morning, but now DK won’t let me login.

Still no water, temps are still below freezing.

    Winner: Xander
    Fade: DJ, Rahm
    Sleeper: Harman

  • PlanB

Any am/pm weather advantage this week?

  • BrianVT

There are still some Beat The Forum contests available in the league if you want to take me on this week.

  • cplatt87

Did 0 research, Playing 1 lineup and about $10 in entry fees. NHL taking up too much of my time now so I’ve dialed back golf, but it’s still nice to have something to follow.

    Winner: Rory
Fade: Everyone except the 6 golfers I picked
Sleeper: Corey Connors or Munoz I guess? I don’t think anyone I picked is actually a sleeper.

  • qatman

Hey, I finally had a OAD make the cut! Granted it was Zalatoris and it was pretty much on the number, but that’s not bad. Had Berger the previous week, which is always fun.

This week’s OAD mush is…. Rory McIlroy. Fade away.

For DFS, I plugged in DJ up top (double the win odds of everyone else for 1000-1200 more, sign me up). Hovland looks underpriced up top, then obviously I have a few scrubs to fill in. With the smaller field, I figured I would gamble a bit on a couple guys making the cut to hopefully have firepower on the weekend.
