    how’s this?

    This is hilarious.

I’m as big a Finau fan as the next guy, but him having better odds to win than Bubba is laughable.

I am going to fade both as big family guys I think their time will be filled. Personally I hope it helps them relax and have lots of fun with no dislocated ankles…

FYI, datagolf.ca shows Brian Gay as the worse player when it comes to SG over his career of 13 rounds at the Greenbrier.

also interesting if you look at their data it shows that SG: OTT & SG: P are more important at this course for scoring differential than App / ARG compared to most courses on tour. That seems to lineup somewhat with guys near the top last year like Xander / Henley / Lovemark who are typically strong off the tee and on the greens but struggle a bit on approach

Greetings from Ireland! I opened up the EURO Happy Meal and am looking forward to this week’s event.

First note for everyone stateside is that today in central Ireland it was one of the hottest days ever. It is usually about 60 degrees but today it might have hit 90 and it was really hot. On our tour today we went to the Cliffs of Moher, and in process went right past Lahinich Golf Club, home of the Ireland Amateur championships and host of NEXT year’s Irish Open. One year too early!

Lahinich is a beautiful links course. Not a tree within miles and goats are known to wander in from the neighboring fields. I took some pictures. The rough is exactly that thigh-height meadow grass you may have seen at Opens that look like a bear to get out of. My guide said that the course didn’t look the best because of the heat wave, that it was less lush and green than usual.

The Irish Open is taking place at the northern tip just about of the Republic of Ireland. It isn’t as hot as it is down here but still relatively speaking it has been warmer (like mid-50s) and also sunny without precipitation. I don’t know about what they might do on the course to prepare the greens but I suspect they will be pretty fast. Hosing down greens is probably not a common occurrence and the Lahinich greens were as dry as a bone.

I will be travelling most of tomorrow, but I will be on the lookout in the local media to share what they say. Since I am nuts I will probably plunk $25 In EURO this week or so. The Greenbriar will probably merit a single, Finau-less bullet.

I will also try to do an Over the Pond for fun. Might be shorter than usual but when will this ever happen again? Cheers, RGers.

Oh. I did plunk down an entry in Wimbledon and tried to simply play the odds with a balanced approach. It failed miserably. Tennis seems like MMA to me – Don’t totally understand scoring and just tried to pick winners and mostly men’s winners. Didn’t work today.

He’s just so damn cheap that he provides great salary relief and I think I’m willing to take a shot on him being ready after we’ve seen lots of the young guys play well this year

No idea but wr have seen guys get off to great starts in their first few events on tour….plus hes only 6500 and potentially a generational talent.

Ill probably have some exposure every time he is in thr field.

Phil is practically exploding out of my weight adjusted falconry model.

But he hasn’t been compressing the golfing ball that great lately

I’m only going to cash 8/50 in tennis I think. Two finished in the top 200 and one finished 16th. Not quite enough to break even.

I didn’t enter the $8, just the 20 entry max stuff and smaller.

    $107 in and $193 out…I’ll take it.

I have one in the top 200 with one player having scored less than 5 points. Reminds me of NBA LU’s with a guy in foul trouble while everyone else goes off.

Hmmm, things come in 3’s….I am about to start my Super Bowl of golf tournaments tomorrow (for 3 days thru Thursday) – its our provincial Mid-Am and it is the qualifier for our national Canadian Mid-Am.

Or maybe I actually take down the $444 this week 🙄

He’s a real long hitter so I’m not sure yet this is the best course fit but he was the top Amateur for a reason and not just for bombing it I guess. I may have 1-2 of him but not in anything higher cost as I’m not sure this is the place.

  • noddy

Hey Bif how about Chase Seifert?
