Norman Xiong’s coach compares him to Tiger Woods at the same age. That means within 3 years Norman should have his first green jacket.

Hey Bif how about Chase Seifert?

I knew nothing about him until 2 weeks ago – he was impressive – never looked at his stats but he stood up to the weekend pressure very well and actually has a great Amateur resume that I was not aware of.

I really wish I knew what the hell has happened to Chappell.

I like Chappell this week. This is a course were he can use the driver to his advantage as the fairways are easy to hit and if you miss the trouble isn’t extremely penal as this course produces one of the fewest amounts of double bogeys. Chappell is sneaky long, people don’t realize that. The courses he missed the cut were difficult courses for the most part. Making the cut at the US Open most likely helped his confidence plus he has had a few weeks off. Need to check stats how he has putted here before as he is not the greatest of putters and putting will be important this week. You know as well as I, if he plays well his ownership will go back up like it has in the past, you don’t want to miss the week he plays well at 5-7% ownership.

I share very similar thoughts. With halfway decent form, he would be 9-10k in this field. He’s played here four times with positive strokes gained putting twice (+2.9, +.3) and negative strokes gained twice (-2, -1.7).

He crashed once right before the US open but before that was constantly missing the cut by 1-2 strokes.

Always thought of him as a bomber though, not sure how sneaky his length is….

    Some FWIW from golfstats.com:

10 players in this year’s field have played in every Greenbrier Classic/A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier since its inception in 2010. Those players are Ricky Barnes, Jonathan Byrd, John Daly, Brendon de Jonge, J.J. Henry, Charles Howell III, D.A. Points, Webb Simpson, Cameron Tringale and Johnson Wagner.

This event has only been played 7 times at this course, but the tournament still hasn’t seen a winner who led after either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round. It’s been a come-from-behind haven for this event, with no 54-hole leader yet able to close the deal on the final day. 3 of the 7 winners have come from at least four shots back.

Of the 47 players that finished 5th or better in the history of the event at this course, only 15 of them had won on the PGA Tour.

Of the 152 players in the field (before Monday qualifying), only 65 have won on the PGA Tour, and only eight have won a major. So this could be the week to shine, as was the week for Scott Stallings in 2011, Ted Potter, Jr. in 2012, Jonas Blixt in 2013, Danny Lee in 2015 and Xander Schauffele last year.

Hope this helps and good luck this week.

I’m planning to do a “breakdown of the chalk” and “finding under the radar plays”. Will do it tonight after the projected ownership gets posted.

No one told me I had to drive on the opposite side of the road in Bahama’s.. How wild and attention getting that is… Plus, no signs anywhere, construction Zone ? What is that ? Overall, it was a good trip, interesting to leave the country, sand and water were amazing. Grand Bahama Island is depressed badly, cheap property and condos right on the ocean.
250K Condo 80 yards from Ocean, with pool, 450.00 a month in fees, ground floor, turn key… Stamp tax is high 10%. Great to learn all this new stuff…

If only they can get a casino again… And yet, the water will bring you back, amazing… Whatapp’s is a must, verizon still trying to charge my wife 180.00$ for a 20 min call TOO her. Anyone know how to handle that ? Sorry for the one off topic

Lol….you must not spend much time in the Caribbean…the islanders drive crazy but I have never seen any accidents. Yes, street signs rarely exist, did you not notice how often they use there horn…

It was my first time… Horn, oh yea, and people getting really close to each other, lots of nicks, dents, scratches, etc.. Rarely did I see a NICE car… Old, small, economical is what everyone uses. Gas was $4.85, lb. grapes, $11.00

  • kps3205s

Happily donating another $1 to Euro this week. Anyone know why Lee Westwood W/D last week?

You probably didn’t notice but there are several car repair shops on the islands, cheaper to fix car than buy new when on the island, it’s not like you see car dealerships on the main strips. Cars tend to last longer on the islands since people are not putting big miles on them, it’s not like you can drive from NY to FLA on the islands.

Drivers use the horn a lot in Peru as well. They tear through the Andes mountains beeping at the traditional Inca ladies and street dogs.

Since Norman xiong was compared to tiger woods by his coach, I will run a few tiger woods h2h challenges this week. Anyone interested?

I went last year to the Pro Am round. It was awesome!

Close friend lives nearby and has played the course several times including a few weeks ago. Says its more of an accuracy course and rough is pretty brutal. Keep it in fairways and short irons in.

Haven’t made my player pool yet and probably won’t until tomorrow as I’m playing in golf tourney and kinda roughing it away from home at a cabin without wifi. 😂

Some of the guys you listed couldn’t be more opposite. Percy is a shorter hitter and ball striker guy and a so-so Putter.
Blaum, Rodgers and Mitchell are bombers. Poston probably somewhere in between.
Blaum and Rodgers have been playing well lately, Mitchell has cooled off a bit. Poston is popping up on leaderboards again for first time in a while. Percy struggles to get a high finish so if you want a made cut, he’s playable but I doubt he can Top 15 anywhere. I played him last week and he missed a lot of short birdie putts and shot around par every day. If I end up owning anyone of those guys, it’s maybe Rodgers or Blaum but not more than 10%
