Can’t decide if I’m upset or not Erik Compton isn’t available for full week contests because I’d have way too much of him.

The thing about proximity distances that you look at is pretty player dependent. Essentially while most holes may be in that 400-450 range, if the guy you are looking at is a long hitter that likes to hit driver well then you’re gonna want to look at his 100-125 range most likely whereas if your guy is a iron off the tee / straight shooter type then you’re gonna want to focus on the 150-175 distance for proximity.

That is why in general I don’t think it makes sense to just rank the whole field on a particular distance in a stats model, but it can be a good thing to look at once you narrow your player pool and figure out what style golfer they are

Another week where I have zero of the “specialist”.

I think that is perfectly fine this week, nobody has amazing specialist numbers and this course is less of a ‘stats’ course and more of a mental grind course

Yeah I get the feeling we are going to see a lot of different ones. It sure sounds like people are afraid of the low priced guys this week… I actually don’t mind a few. I like the Cink chalk down there but am also taking a risk with some Streelman. Otherwise a Hoffman share or 2 but other than that keeping it above 7K and closer to the 7.5K range.

I think there are like 6 holes you can hit driver on this course. So guys like Kokrak are either going to be hitting out of the rough, or are going to have to club down and hit longer approaches then he is used to.

This is why I am all over guys like Knox this week. Great DA% but will most likely club down, and is good at long approach, this is his normal game. Same with lower tier guys like Cink, not reliant on his driver.

Not sure on ownership, but if ST was reasonably accurate in Mexico, he was spraying the hell out of his driver. I usually target Noren, but I’m off this week.

So you’re favoring Proximity than a bit further out than 125-150, right?
