Knew that was coming! Glad to see him turn it around, but I was off by a mile. Is what it is. I got absolutely crushed last week.

Bounce back this week – GL

I’m having a hard time with this…is the wind not supposed to be a factor at all Friday PM? I get you’d rather post a good score and figure it out come cut day, but if the wind is close at all would the advantage be that significant?

IF you are going to play the weather, Thurs AM / Fri PM is the clear path to success. It’s weather though and many people successfully ignore it. Tomorrow afternoon does have the chance of bringing absolute carnage.

  • Shaver933

Meh, maybe. A small minority can easily control the conversation. We are all over the weather angle. AM/PM is the play. Might be worth 1.5 strokes.

Edit: messed up the quote again lol – this was a quote for BIF

As a Texans fan from day 1, I’d greatly appreciate keeping the deshaun talk off the thread. k thnx. (hell, it worked for the anti mkf dude)

If you haven’t seen this, type in Palm Beach Gardens and move yourself over PGA National and you’ll see how the wind will be moving. Where it says forecast model, superforecast goes hour by hour while forecast is every 3 hours.

Edit: Link is set up to PGA National

Thanks! Got up early to fidget. But from what I see, the wind picks up so quickly that only the earliest tee times on Thursday may have an edge. (Although I can imagine the gusts will be worse in the afternoon.) And Friday looks milder all day than I was thinking it would be.

As for everyone fading Lee Westwood, I guess that’s based on age and fatigue? But I imagine he knows how to play in the wind, so I’ll still have him in a few.

Just an FYI for the weather heads…

I live down the street from PGA and can tell you at 7 am the winds are already bad enough. I’m expecting havoc early and often throughout today. I’d be leery of fixing lineups based on AM/PM weather waves…

Thx for the info. I almost changed my lineups based on weather, but ended up ignoring it like I generally do every week. Appreciate the affirmation

Good Thursday Morning & YAY GOLF !

Lotto week! Wheeled 70 entries in to the $5 DTG. Used a 30 player pool, so still a bit tight. May have picked up a few extra when adjusting the Berger line ups. Played some names I haven’t used in a while thats for sure.

Someone mentioned this might be Rickie’s last chance to qualify for the Masters, do you think he is salivating looking at the field?

Wind, lots of wind? My misplaced assumption always is that the Euro players have an advantage, or is it guys from Texas?

Up top highest owned are Niemann, Lowry, Henley
in the middle played a ton of Keegan & Streelman
tried not to dip too low this week and have lots of Ryan Moore & Johnny Vegas, along with J Huh & Luke List

As usual, hardly factored in the weather, so have no idea of my AM/PM splits, hope that doesn’t come back to haunt me.

Good Luck Y’all! We will need it.

  • RudyPujols

    Winner: Lowry
Fades: BIF gurgle and Ma’s cigar
    Sleeper to Win: Thompson
