    I am playing Berger now

The fact he only chipped and putted yesterday doesn’t give you any hesitation? Or that he is admittedly in discomfort? I loved Berger this week, but I am not too sure it’s worth paying so much for someone who is openly injured. Especially if he hasn’t swung a club since 18 on Sunday (this is a guess based on the info we have).

Also he is still projected to be very high owned so I am not sure there is much of an ownership angle. Maybe I am just trying to talk myself out of playing him with my post.

He will clearly be the contrarian play.

Touts love Tringale. Great stats we would typically look at although he grades out poorly in wind and ARG on difficult courses. Not a great combo if he is messing with the cut line on Friday at 9100.

He’s been on a run; maybe the hot streak will end this week, but not a single try in 70 entries? Bold move.

You got in my head, overnight I developed a case of FOMO, so I just switched 5 of my Bergers to Westwood, still leaves me with 20/70 w Berger, who now seems like a risky play. Hope to avoid any further tinkering.

  • BrianVT

I’m going about 40% Berger in the mini-max, but not in any of my SE or cash lineups.

Wes Bryan grades out really well but apparently is like the worst golfer in the field in wind. So his MC chances are elevated IMO.

Thanks. How are stallings and furyk in wind?

  • monarch

I have Furyk 25th and Stallings around 100

last group of the day one day and then last group of the morning wave

Is that how it works for Friday tee times? I thought that if a player was in the afternoon wave Thursday, he gets a morning wave tee time on Friday.

But didn’t realize it would be in the same order. I.e. Rafa Cabrera Bello will tee off with the first group on 10 tomorrow afternoon at 12:20 PM. Does that mean he will tee off in the first group Friday A.M.? All I can find is reference to buckets.

    Thunder – Hoag – Hoge?

You could even go like Hoag, Hoge, Higgs, Hughes.

  • BlueEdwards

All you need is James Hahn and bob hope to round out the lineup.

  • ifthethunder

Ha! OF COURSE I considered Hoag – Hoge. But right now I’m 0 for 20 on both. I do have a few Mackenzie Hughes lineups.

What if I told you…you could play 3 Adams and 3 Camerons and it doesn’t look terrible?

He’s projected to be 33% owned as of last night. Next highest is Niemann at 26%.

Only way he’s contrarian is if he withdraws tonight

Going with my gut this week which leaves me with $2500 on the table right now with nobody above Brendan Steele.

On a side note, how about that Brian Gay, J.B. Holmes and Austin Cook grouping? Kip Henley is J.B.‘s current caddie, was Austin’s previous caddie and also caddied for Brian.

And they say the groupings are random????

Here’s the 1st 2 rounds and yes Rafa is 1st off both days on #10 tomorrow at 12:20 PM and #1 on Friday at 7:25 AM.

    T.Y.

My thought is if you were 50-50 on RCB vs Rory Sabbatini for showdown, you pick Sabbatini for his earlier tee time. But full tournment-wise, maybe you take the gopher who won’t be facing the afternoon winds to make the cut on Friday.

If the weather is going to be as severe as what is forecast here in SC tomorrow afternoon (warm front with severe thunderstorms producing hail and possible tornadoes), then they’re just going to have a weather delay.

Thursday afternoon is looking to be carnage. I’m taking the philosophy that I want my guys to have as big a buffer as possible heading into Friday.

  • monarch

I agree weather draw should be AM/PM

For example Matt Wallace’s 2:10 tee time is enough for me to fade considering I was on the fence. It hasn’t rained there, he will be playing baked out greens at 23 MPH winds for his entire round as of Wed afternoon.

  • monarch

SD guys I would lean towards AM tee times starting on the back nine.

Afternoon forecasted to be sunny and windy.
