    Berger WD

    Saves us all the worry.

    Berger is the man…mad propers

  • byo34

We might see laughable ownership %s on Sungjae and Niemann.

Can definitely see the route of fading both and hoping for MCs or under performances. But I am weak so I will probably end up with one of them.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

Berger out is kind of a bummer…had zero of him, now not only is there no potential advantage there, but they’ll likely be higher ownership of the guys I was on. Oh well…
Planned on making one lineup since I had a $15 ticket. That pretty much went the opposite as planned lol wound up with possibly more than usual, and not one I really felt great about. So looking for any edge Possible. Here’s to hoping for the best…

Well, thankfully Berger let us know today. I have a lot of re-work to do now. I was trying not to play Westwood and he probably just got chalky. Might actually have to play Sungjae now.

You and me both, we were on the same page. I think I am going to adjust and leave more money on the table in those entries instead going all Westwood or Im

I’m in on Martin Kaymer. Nobody is playing him at 8300, he is like two percent. Last time he played in the US he missed the cut on the number at the US Open. Since then he has been making cuts abroad, generally finishing higher than Westwood and climbed to 78th in the OWGR. He has a fourth place finish here. A few more guys W/D and he is like the tenth best player in the field lol if not already.

  • RudyPujols

Feels like a good week to throw in a contrarian single bullet, get some Sportsbook action, and scale way back on DFS volume.

Also feels like a Shane Lowry week. So, basically, full fade if you know what’s good for you.

  • BrianVT

Does anyone have adjusted ownership protections for Sungjae, Niemann, Westwood, Scott?

Originally I said no. After looking at the field, and thinking about it, I’m saying yes.

    Screw Berger – he’s still a dick !

Let’s not forget Berger pulled a greasy move a few years back at the WGC when he hit a tee shot on #1 and immediately WD and collected $50K

Squid, are you even going to recognize your Pats this year ?

I see they are going with the Double-TE of Jonnu and Henry to rekindle memories of Gronk and Hernandez ?

  • timusbr

    153 contests, $191 entered
    42 mme LU’s – 1 person 100%
    28 in player pool

    Winner: SunJae Im
Fade: Scott, Henley, Tringale, Kirk, Fowler …just about everyone above 9K
Sleepers Denny McCarthy, Bo Hoag, and I got Luke Donald as a much needed 6000 salary.

good luck to us, if feeling good before lock is good, Then spending abt $200 this week compared to a normal $100 is my show of….I got this 🙄

edit: probably had too much Kramer Hickok, so perhaps its a good thing he WD. several LU’s went into lotto quick pick mode.

You got in my head, overnight I developed a case of FOMO, so I just switched 5 of my Bergers to Westwood, still leaves me with 20/70 w Berger, who now seems like a risky play. Hope to avoid any further tinkering.

Did not mean to get in your head, was just surprised that you had none in that many entries after his recent play. With the Berger WD, at least you had already switched out 5 and only have 20 more to scramble and fix. 👍

As a longtime Pats fan (not a band wagon rider) I find it disturbing that the Pats used a pair of 3rd round picks on tight ends last year and now this…

    Great site. Appreciate it.

Winner : Henley should fly well under the radar at his price point (high)
Fade : Mr. Im. At my betting portal he’s an underdog in 3 of his matchups despite having the lowest odds to win.
Sleeper : Kid Kupcake. Knew he had the sponsors exemption a month ago and says he’s played this course “at least 40 times and loves it”.

Que sera sera. Best of luck to everyone.

Yah the Henry signing stunned me – I’m a Jonnu fan and have had him in season long fantasy for a couple years and I can see having a couple pass catching options at TE makes sense but you don’t need to spend that much on them. The Bucs have a lot of cash tied up in TEs too. It saved us last year though with OJ Howard going down for the season in camp it was great having Gronk and Brate there as well.

  • BIF

Sorry – this was a response to Getty

I think Henley will draw a lot of ownership – not quite as much as Niemann or Sungjae but he is no secret – you can be sure that every tout is beating his drum with stories of ball striking prowess and his course history, etc…

  • monarch

Ya…Niemann and Henley are out of control. I can’t get to 30+ percent of them because Niemann isn’t exactly a great fit and Henley…chalky Henley at 9800 doesn’t feel like the piece you will absolutely have to have. I may actually move to Westwood a bit, he is a fish play but he is in such good form and great at this course. Maybe he can get him a victory now that the field is taking the week off.

I am a bit lost on the name and who it is.
lol its probably because I am too literal, and doesnt fit my list of alternates in the field. So then I took the hint KK. Do you mean Kid f’n Kupcake?

    Sponsors Exemption – Chase Koepka

  • timusbr

    been playing 1 each of the draft contest. 12 player – 6 – 3

all 3 contests the first person picked was Niemann.
I loved the 12 man this week, the person before and after me were on autopick and nab’d all the OUTS. this was great because I fall apart when they always pick my pick right before my pick.

6 person was great because I didnt want any of the 9K golfers and they were all sucked up by the end. leaving me with the picks I wanted in medium and low salaries.
