DK Salaries are up so might as well get the thread/discussion going

Rory is top salary with Spieth, Scott, Day and Bubba not far behind; lineup construction will be interesting and a challenge given the small field, shorter cut line, likelihood of duplicate entries in huge GPP’s and the poor quality punts.

The PGA championship milli maker was chopped – 2 guys tied for 1st with the same LU (Grace/Day/Streb/Finau/Rose/Koepka).

Seems like every time a milly maker comes up people start talking about split at the top. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s ever been a split on the top prize. Any reason to think differently with this round of the masters?

Well just compared to the other majors its such a small field.

True – and this year will be an especially small Masters field of 91-93 invites with only 87-89 actually playing it due to injuries…..then factor in that it is Low 50 and Ties who make the cut plus the caveat of anyone within 10 shots of the lead which can bring in extra players in for the weekend in years where the leader does not take it low early.

Here is an article I wrote for the British Open last year that has data on lineup overlap during the Millionaire Makers for the majors. Very useful read before making your Masters lineups.

    Good point.

Day is now the favorite at a lot of places. Kind of hard to fade him the way he is playing

I’ll fade the shit out of him. He’s going to be 30% owned in these GPPs.

As will I. Then will probably be kicking myself Sunday afternoon.

The funny thing is, and I agree with you guys I’ll mostly be fading Day because of ownership percentage, but if Day is 30% and he does end up winning he will have done what Spieth did last year. Spieth won and he was about 30% owned by people in the milly maker. Not really relevant to what will happen this year just a funny little food for thought tidbit.

  • TPSC

I love playing Jason Day, but at that price, he’s almost an insta-fade, especially in the Milly. Fading Day is an easy means of differentiating lineups. The only problem, I think, is that the flameout potential isn’t much there. In my fades, I like guys who might miss the cut and flame out a third of the field. A Bubba Watson, for instance, could flame out at 20% ownership and give you a big leg up. I can’t see a scenario where Day does that, and thus, the fade equity is lower.

I’m not sure how I’ll go, but game theory and variance in golf says fading Day and hoping he comes T25 is the right play. (I think).

everyone can stop entering the milly. i just submitted the winner.

but on a real note, what sleepers we got?

langer looks interesting.. anyone even thinking about o’meara?

  • Frustrated

Is there a site that tracks how often golfers hit a draw vs. a fade? I know a right to left shot is the ideal shot for the majority of drives at Augusta. But It would be nice to see which right handed golfers hit draw shots. Obviously Bubba and Phil it cuts at lefties which is good for them but would like to know what the other golfers primarily do.

Is Tony Finau in the field? I can’t find him in the DK player pool but I see Vegas currently has him as 125/1 to win.

  • Cbed11

Looking like the weather could have a big impact for the first two rounds. Rain and high winds

Actually that did NOT get him in the field here. You do not get an invite for winning the PRO.

I don’t know if I should build the majority of my rosters around two 10K and up players or just go with one 10K and up player.
