Stunned more people didn’t take Stricker at 6.8% or Kooch at 18%. Not sure “stars and scrubs” will work well for weekend golf but I guess we’ll see.

Oh the reason for the ownership of like Spieth, Fowler, and Dufner has to be they are leading/close to the lead. If Fowler was in Mats’s position, the ownership of Fowler and Mats would be reversed. This is why I decided to go contrarian and go with Mats.

I was posting about Stricker/Haas yesterday (and Kuchar fits the bill too). So they are most likely low owned because they aren’t as close to the lead + the fact they aren’t birdie makers.

I know Stricker had that amazing round last Sunday, but I generally want to avoid him if possible for weekend golf because he just doesn’t make enough birdies. Haas, Kuchar, Stricker, etc. are all the same category. I posted yesterday basically for weekend golf in this tournament I was going with the guys who can reach par 5s in two.

Finau and Cantlay are two good examples. While they both can suck really badly (get bogey streaks, DBB, etc.), I like their upside for weekend golf. Both can drive you crazy, but because of their shot making abilities, they have more upside than Stricker.

Stricker is consistent though. Hope he makes the US Open. That would be cool. So not cheering against him at all. Just not my type I guess. Fowler too, but Fowler has proved me completely wrong with his birdie making so far.

    Tony, 4 feet for Eagle.

    Then stop cheering for him.

Haha I have 0 shot to cash, I’m a realist. The dude is a SCORER. He had 7 birdies yesterday. You fade Finau thinking he will MC, but know that if he makes, you are screwed bc he piles up points. I have a TON of Finau in 4 day, but when DJ and Rahm MC, I needed him to MC in my big entries. Now that he made it, I threw him on my weekend teams, and he is on my only 6/6 teams.. So while he will probably keep me from cashing in the $100, if he goes off, he can make up for it elsewhere. Gotta love DFS.

Cool Chappell also has an eagle look. I have him and Finau on one of my bigger 36/8 lineups for the weekend (also used in cash for some), but unlike Finau, he’s super low owned so him going low is more important to me.

Tbh, I got super lucky with Finau for my normal full slate golf teams. I was almost certain he would not make the cut after going to +6, so definitely got lucky there with my full slate cash game teams. And sorry, Matt, you definitely got unlucky there with Finau making the cut on your 100 dollar team.

  • MattNielsen89

Damn it.. Finau only birdies.. Missed an under 5 foot putt. But he made that shit yesterday on 18.. Of course lol.

  • lfn1992

Finau you can start your bogey streak now, thanks

  • elmore0631

Thank gosh Finau missed the eagle.

Doesn’t hurt as bad now that he’s got 5 birdies in a row.

Also a reason to play Finau in weekend golf was his success at the course. His track record suggest he had at least ONE good round out of four for the week.

  • superstars92

Hideki teed off. No Fowler paired with him. Maybe he won’t be as nervous putting now. Also, no negative energy of Rahm paired up with him either.

  • lfn1992

Cink’s shot tracker… Leaves birdie putt 1 inch short…. AAGH

  • MattNielsen89

    Chappy birdie.

  • superstars92

Chappell and FInau both missed under 6 feet eagle putts, but at least they made the birdie. Hideki and Rahm probably would have missed the birdie putt too.

  • MattNielsen89

I need Reed to get going for Weekend golf.. That was a bad play on my part. SMH

    Can’t be gotten.

  • MattNielsen89

Come on Jasonnnnn.. Get the streak please.

  • superstars92

Actually, looking at the layout, there should be a ton of birdies between holes 5-11. Like everyone should have a good chance to birdie the 3 par 5s in that range. Even the par 5 on the longest hole (the 11th) has a front of the green location so it is shorter than usual.

  • MattNielsen89

CHAPPY! Birdie baby. Par 5 now for the streak.

  • Dewoc19

Cink misses a 5ft birdie putt but drains a 34 footer, why can’t these guys do the simple things correctly FFS!?
