I’m torn on whether or not to fade tiger this week.

He’s had plenty of success on this course, but since his win in 2012 he has zero top-20 finishes.

First thing that stood out to me was the thick rough and how much that’s going to kill him with his less than accurate driver game, but the course plays much shorter than the listed 7400 so he’ll likely end up taking less than driver off the tee often.

Where are you guys landing on the cat this week?

  • lfn1992

I am really, really looking at the cheap EUROs with a great deal of interest. Why bother reaching all the way down to the Panda when Joost Lutien sits at only $6500?

I think because he can go less than driver on a number of holes and the fairways are pretty wide, he’s got a solid chance to play well here……the problem I have is that even with that, he’s really overpriced. The problem is that the public loves Tiger, so the sportsbooks shorten his odds knowing the public will bet him no matter what, then DK uses the vegas odds to set their prices and he ends up at the very top of the salaries, and I think that is too steep a price to pay for the risk you are taking on his results.

Essentially for me, if he was around the high 9Ks or right at 10K I might consider playing some Tiger, but he’s just overpriced and I’d rather focus my lineup builds around other guys with similar upside that let me build much stronger lineups 1-6

please someone talk me off of Peter Uihlein this week, he is looking quite tasty.

Yea, that’s basically where I’m falling as well. I may throw him in one LU that I’m throwing in a small prices big tourney just to have some shares, but I don’t think I’ll have any other exposure than that.

Is there going to be a $555 contest for the US Open? I haven’t seen any satellites in the lobby for that contest the past couple of weeks.

No talk necessary, I think he is a solid value play this week. He’s got the ability to go low and he’s been rounding into form, so he’s definitely on my list of potential plays. He is a pretty volatile player, so he carries a high risk tolerance if you are going heavy on him, but I like the play.

My guess is there might be a small one offered that week, but since the Milly Maker for that event is a $100 entry, they made most of the satellites for that as they will want their high rollers to be maxing that event instead of trying to direct entries into a $555. They also have like a $3k entry fee one as well, so my guess is between that and the Milly maker that will be the focus.

  • dbullsfan

I don’t know maybe it is because i have a much lower bankroll than the high rollers but 15K to max enter a gpp with 33K entries seems insane especially when 7th place is 15k.

Just finished my seven DtG LU’s and went down to Lipsky @ 6200 in one but have Luiten in my main LU

No EURO to spend money on so upgraded from the Birdie this week

Not sure that is such a great idea but whatever lol

  • hbomb57

Over and Under on WD’s or hate my score, or not playing 36 holes in bad weather, etc. I will say 3.

Lipsky is another guy I’m looking at. He’s been very solid across the board in EURO play.

Hey aren’t you the euro golf champion here on the forum? What you just want to be the golf champion period?

:) well done LFN, for a small dollar Gpp player, You could compete with the big dogs. A lesson to never measure yourself by the size of the bankroll you play. 12 weeks to go, keep it going.

  • Kp24

Fooch taking a leave of absence on Rose’ bag. Still isn’t 100 percent after his heart surgery.

I would expect Gareth Lorde to be on it indefinitely

My only concern is ownership, feel like alot of people will land on Uihlein and An for value based on history and industry talk. I don’t have a ton of interest in a 15%+ owned Uihlein

15%+ will certainly not be the case…anything higher than 6-7% would shock me tbh, this coming from a guy that played him every week at sub1% up until he top5/top15 (of course quit on him right before the T5)…even last week at veryyy low pricing he was still low owned

They havent been taking subscriptions for awhile now. An email was sent out sometime back explaining why.

I was just able to log on and make a pick

The dfs picks are great. But this is the life saving info I come this forum for.

Ok I’ll bite…although dangerous tornadoes only last a short time. The real test is a Hurricane…Wind + Water and you will need a stout rope made of hemp (no fancy modern synthetic stuff) and a palm tree. I did this during Irma and then Michael no problem. Oh and as far as DFS my fortune cookie lucky number LU is actual pretty playable…6, 19, 26, 36, 42, and ? not to give away a 6 man LU.

You’re probably right, 15 is excessive. I’m just hearing his name getting tossed around all over, people are salivating over his past two tournaments and his history here.
