How did FD score Rahm’s penalty? I was winning a 3man by 3 points, just logged back on and now I’m not winning, losing by .4 points. Did they score it a double bogey or something?

Should score it as a bogey but it was originally scored as a birdie so that is what the difference in points will be

  • wolverinezack

So a difference in 2 points basically?

I don’t play on FD so not sure but I think it’s more than that but on DK it is a 3.5 point difference

Remove the 3pt birdie that was awarded and
then subtract 0.5 points for the bogey

Edit – just looked and FD difference should be 4.1 points as you’d lose the 3.1 from the birdie originally awarded and then lose 1 point for the bogey.

Jack ruined his tournament this year.

Agreed. ‘Old geezer gets cactus up his butt, takes it out on everyone else.’

Not some new thing, just a typical boring one. On to next week. IMO, this tournament and its results go to the garbage bin.

Yea I see that was thinking it was just 1 for a birdie my bad
Ouch so I lost 3.1 and then -1 for the bogey for a total of 4.1. Went from 50.7 on the final round only to 46.6 losing my 3 man to someone with 47. Damn damn damn.

Thought I was going to salvage the weekend. Before the weather delay I was up about 1000 between weekend only (had way more holes left than everyone ahead of me) and winning 3 man.

Weekend only fell out of cash thanks to Cantlay and Reavie blowing up and then the Rahm penalty knocking me out of the top spot for the 3 man

Man this tournament was hot garbage. No one wants to watch high score golf. Jack ruined his tournament this year.

Totally agree, these scores were a joke, 6/6 lineup going +28 for the day and not even cashing is down right criminal

  • miggs6876

What a crazy day of golf. My 6/6 lineup did well. For a while, I was in 10th place but it was short lived due to Willet and Finau meltdown. Crazy even had a line up 3/6 that min. cashed. It was tough watching some of my guys bogey and double bogey over and over. I haven’t seen such carnage in a long time. Not sure I liked it, but it sure was different.

  • miggs6876

Fan duel players check your account. They just gave me $10 as a return to sports bonus. I’ll use it to enter their $9 eagle contest.

Yup Jack ruined his tourney this year, the setup was worse than the usga could even do.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

Finally had some good lineups, best being a 437.
The bad, there didn’t seem to be the small stakes microboosters and smaller contests I usually throw lineups in…so had a smaller return than usual.
Still nice not to lose money for once.

  • Awon1

The Rahm correction cost me like 300 bucks in Showdown. I guess that’s what happens when I have 100% Rahm in Showdown. It’s like a 8-9 point swing or so in showdown.

It didn’t seem to cost me anything in 4 day and I had 50% of Rahm there.

  • Awon1

On the bright side almost every single team I had that had Rahm cashed in a GPP and I had 50% of him this week. I even had a 3/6 with Rahm, Finau, and Fitzpatrick that cashed easily.

Nothing too big but did make 1.7k overall this week so I’m finally back in the green since the restart after being red every week! Can’t wait to drop back into the red next week.

Glad that Sunday afternoon car crash is over; I still had a great week winning over $5K but at 2 different times today it was over $20K then Finau and Cantlay happened mixed with a side of Pat Reed 4-over on 15-17 collapse 😡

Finished 15th in the Mayo (Congrats on 6th to Monarch !!)
20th in the $33 Single Entry
    Cashed in the $555 (218th / 2002)
Cashed 7/10 in Milly (552nd was best)
Cashed 12/20 in $3 (125th was best – had 3 in Top 60 before the wreckage)
Cashed 9/17 in the $5 DTG (was Top 20 till the carnage)

….and a 2nd in the highly coveted Happy Meal 🎉

Now this was the crazy part – I spent $43.75 entering the $0.25 entry Milly Satty’s and won 51 tickets !! Most of them were the 5-max but also entered the 20-max. In 6 of the 190 ppl 5-max ones that pay out 2 tickets, I finished 1st and 2nd with diff lineups.

I love it when all of your core plays finish well !

I hear a whole lot of whining about a tough course. Jack couldnt ruin anything. I would say that I can pull some usefull analysis off the last 2 weeks. using the data to tell me some things about golfers. Like who can putt in extreme stint. Also Where some of the golfers CAN NOT play well with wind/adjustments. Or how bout those euro guys in windy conditions. As a group what do ya think?

  • Awon1

Guys if you want to have a 6/6 and be a guaranteed cash, it’s next week.

In tournaments with more birdies, a 6/6 is more important. In a tournament with fewer birdies, it’s all about placement.

Of course we are just talking about cashing or not cashing. If you want to win a GPP, then you must pretty much always need a 6/6, regardless of the tournament.

I got that as well – had just logged in to check the FD scoring for the question on the forum and there was a pop up saying they put $10 in.

Hope you aren’t too mad at me still for dissing your man Kuchar. Kuchar still hasn’t given me that tip from years ago.

GJ BIF! I had a week where I got my pool correct but got ripped up by the carnage over the weekend. Faded hard over the weekend.

    Mayo: 6th, 184, 1441
Milly: 56th and two other cashes/3 entries
    Birdie: Cashed 18/20 lineups

I made the decision to fade Norlander even though I felt he was a good course fit. If I would have included him in my core it probably would have been a huge week. Onto the 3M, I really like my process now. I believe I had a pool of 21 players this week. Will try and get to around that number again for the 3M.

  • timusbr

I feel fortunate to take my losses this week. Bet less LU’s in more expensive contests. Had one of my big 3 score 3× 4x victory. I also screwed the pooch in every showdown. Overall abt $350 in and 250 out.

All good – of course I want Kooch to make 8 birdies every day like he did Friday but my expectations are tempered with him. Now Finau, Cantlay and Koepka are a little different on what I expect/hope for.
