Same exact quote about Whaley from last week…. hhmm.

I’ll put out Troy Merrit as the Vincent Whaley of this week. I also have a gut feeling Bubba wins this week as well, so take caution lol 😂

Does anyone like Charley Hoffman this week? I’m torn.

He’s been pretty hot the last 5 months and is underpriced if this is the new Charley Hoffman. I’m generally suspicious when a 44-year old is playing the best golf of his career. But he did have 5-month hot streak like this in 2017. So he has some “back class”. And he’s done it mostly through great ball-striking, not lucky putting.

He has mostly poor course history here, with the exception of the Workday last year. I’m not sure that one really counts as the course was deliberately set up to be different. He didn’t play so great here during his hot streak in 2017 (T45).

I have the Charley / Billy Ho combo in one of my cores. (And have a pivot away from both of them using Keegan Bradley instead in another.)

This is kind of unfair, so little talk on the forum and you guys are nailing my high percentage plays.

We’ve gone full circle! I’m getting a late start this week. So I’ll get it together tomorrow.

You nailed Whaley last week. First guy I saw who I thought was vastly under priced was Kizzire @7300 even though I rarely play him. He doesn’t historically play well here, but he’s never been in this form either.

I’ve always thought of Kizzire as a Bermuda greens guy but I’ve noticed he has had a couple good bent grass showing this year.

I’d be interested in seeing his Bermuda/Bent splits this year.

    KSDT is free this week.

He’s horrible scrambling and putting but he’s 45th SG: T2G on Tour this year and has made 5 of his last 6 cuts with three being a top 25 with a T8 last week.

He was 7100 last week in a somewhat weaker field. You could do worse.

What the hell happened to Hao-Tong Li? Wasn’t he legit?

His collapse has been pretty incredible. He was on the brink of challenging Tiger and since that moment in 2019 everything seems to have gone wrong. Maybe he got injured and lost that ball striking mojo he had coming up. Even on the EURO Tour he hasn’t been able to recover it.

Am I missing something regarding Fitzpatrick? Why is he projected at less than 1% ownership?

Seems low to me. Looking at DK round 1 salaries, Fitz is down 400…8,700 to 8,300. Players like Scottie Scheffler (MC last week) and Sam Burns (w/d 2 weeks ago) are down 800 and 900. What ownership are those 2 projected for?

    Couple reasons I’m guessing:

Longer course – Fitz is a shorter hitter

Wider fairways here – less advantage for straight Fitz

More of an approach/second shot course and less about SG Putting – Fitz’s best skill is not needed as much here

I am very heavy on C Hoff, normally shy away from him, but you have to play the hot streak until it isn’t IMHO, the stats say go for it, and I am YMMV

EDIT: @8300 priced for a cut maker w upside looks good to me

I’m seeing lots of down low guys with seemingly good CH. Do we think guys “like” this course or was it an “easy field” high finishes for the lower guys.

We have Streelman, Glover, Steele, Rodgers, and An. I’ll likely have the most Streels & Rodgers of this group but does anybody else look ok of that group?

I like all these guys except An. Nothing wrong with these guys at all. Course is a little longer but I think it is mitigated somewhat by the four par 5s.

I stayed away from under 7000 in my core with the exception of one share of Werenski, really like Todd & Glover @7200 and am overweight.

I agree with all of these. Plus I’m not sure how great he is AFTER a big major. He tends to do better the closer he gets to majors. Not coincidentally his skill set gets better as the course gets harder.

  • mookie336

Cheers BIF and lfn1992! Thought there was something injury related behind his low ownership.
Didn’t make my player pool before I looked at ownership, but I will have some now, simply from a game theory perspective.

Side note : Bo Hoag and Jason Day are members of Muirfield Village. Day had back to back top 10’s last year at the Workday and the Memorial (same course) but comes in having missed 3 of 4 cuts. Hoag made the cut last year but is in even worse form, failing to break 70 in 19 of his last 20 rounds. Also the course is located in the town of Dublin. Maybe Shane Lowry feels at home here. Then again, maybe not.

Here’s the link to Matthew Wiley’s rake free tournament. He’s a pretty interesting follow on Twitter and his periscope top 10 preview on Wednesday evenings.I believe he used to post on here.

Yep it’s weird. I remember him finishing 3rd in a major when he was 21 or something like that. Then it was a downfall.
